Champ Coffee (3rd workroom)
Yesterday, I went on a date in Jongno, and we decided to check out Champ Coffee (Euljiro, Seoul), a café known for its strong reputation among coffee lovers.
Located in Sewoon Shopping Center, the café is positioned almost at the far end of the mall, requiring quite a long walk to reach.
We arrived a little after lunch on a weekend, and unsurprisingly, it was very busy. While several outdoor tables were available, they were all occupied. Since the weather was hot, we opted for indoor seating instead.
Menu
Having heard so many positive reviews, I was eager to try the coffee for myself.
For the coffee, we had the option to choose our own beans.
As we waited for our drinks, I browsed through the coffee-related items for sale. While there were various coffee goods available, I didn’t find anything that particularly caught my interest.
One major downside for me was the seating. The tables and chairs were uncomfortably low, making it difficult to enjoy our coffee in a relaxed manner. Since the seats weren’t great, we finished our drinks quickly and left.
Iced Americano
For the coffee, we had the option to choose our own beans betwenn A and B.
Despite being told that Type A was less acidic, I still found both A and B to be too acidic for my liking. Since I prefer smooth, low-acid coffee, the taste wasn’t quite to my preference. However, those who enjoy bright, acidic flavors might appreciate it more.
Cranberry Champ Cookie
While Champ Coffee is popular among coffee enthusiasts, my personal experience was average. That said, everyone’s coffee preferences are different, so I’d still recommend visiting at least once to see if their coffee suits your taste!
