Champ Coffee (3rd workroom)
Yesterday, I went on a date in Jongno, and this is the cafe we went to. Champ Coffee is in Sewoon Shopping Center, but it's almost at the end of the mall, so I had to walk a long way to get there.
We went there a bit after lunch on a weekend, and it was very busy.
Several tables were available outside, but they were all in use. Since it was so hot, we chose a table inside.
Menu
After hearing so many positive reviews, I couldn't wait to try the coffee for myself.
We ordered Iced Americanos and some Cranberry Champ Cookies. We had the option to select the beans. So chose one of the "A type" ALI blending (least acidic taste, according to the staff), and one of the "B type" TALK blending.
As we waited for our coffee, I browsed the stalls selling various coffee-related items. However, I didn't find anything I liked and wanted to buy.
The seating was quite uncomfortable. As you can see, both the chair and the table were too short for me, so I ate quickly and departed.
Coffee Taste
A and B were both acidic. It was mentioned to me that option A was less acidic, but I just do not like acidic flavors, so it was a bit unpleasant for me.
The cookie was rich and plump.
The cranberry-filled cookie didn't have that typical cookie texture; rather, it tasted soft and slightly damp.
While many trendy cafes have Instagrammable wooden tables and chairs like here, the chairs themselves tend to be quite uncomfortable.
My overall rating was average. It's just my opinion, but everyone's preferences are different, therefore I suggest you visit it at least once.
