Jeokdang

Jeokdang

If you’re looking for a cozy spot to enjoy Korean delicacies, Jeokdang (Myeongdong, Seoul) is a must-visit. Located just in front of Euljiro 1-ga Station Exit 1-1, this charming cafe is tucked away on the ground floor of a building.

To find it, head toward what looks like the main entrance of the building and ask the guard for directions to the cafe, you’ll be guided to this hidden gem in no time.

The exterior of Jeokdang is simple yet inviting, but the real magic happens inside. The cafe is beautifully decorated, with an ambiance that feels warm and intimate. It’s the perfect place to enjoy traditional Korean desserts, especially in the evening when the lighting creates a magical atmosphere.

One thing I loved about Jeokdang was the attention to detail in its interior design. The lighting was particularly beautiful, giving the space a serene and thoughtful vibe.

That said, the seats didn’t look particularly comfortable, but the atmosphere more than made up for it.

Near the cashier, there’s an extended bar table, which adds to the sleek, minimalist design of the space.

Chestnut yanggaeng is a must-try. If it’s your first time, I’d suggest starting with the original chestnut flavor for the best experience.
