Lotte World (Christmas season)
It had been eight years since my last trip to Lotte World (Jamsil), so you can imagine how happy I was about finally making it there.
I know it'll be crowded on the weekends, but during the week I just don't have the time to go.
The parking situation was fine when I arrived around 9:40 a.m. with my vehicle. If you plan on visiting Lotte World, you can park for free for the first three hours, but after that, you'll be charged 1,000 won for every ten minutes.
I was surprised to see such a big queue of people waiting to enter before the gates even opened. There were a lot of people, much more than I anticipated.
It is, after all, the weekend following the CSAT (National entrance exam for university). Thankfully, there is no danger of being crushed. The recent crowd crush in Itaewon was a terrible accident.
To begin, I headed to a ticket-purchasing kiosk. Since there are multiple kiosks, getting a ticket was quick and easy.
I used the KT VIP discount, which is offered by the telecom operator, to save fifty percent off my ticket price. The pass will be sent to your mobile when you input your phone number; just present your phone at the gate to enter.
It's been a while since my last visit, but everything still appears to be the same.
Everything looked lovely because it was the start of the Christmas season and the decorations had just been put up. I was quite busy taking photographs.
We didn't waste any time and headed right to the fourth floor to ride "Pharaoh's Fury," the attraction that was at the top of my priority list. Because there was no line, we could get right in.
The students all ran outside. Since most of the activities are outside that could be the reason.
The scary rides were not on our plan, so we went to the ones with the shortest lines.
When we saw the line for the popular Viking or Flume Ride, we decided to skip it. Even so, we spent a lot of time participating in indoor rides.
We also went on a "Balloon Ride" on the same fourth floor and viewed Lotte World from above.
Previously, I would have refused to go on a balloon ride, but it had been a while since I had taken one, and I found the whole experience to be extremely enjoyable.
After enjoying the morning's three indoor rides, we were hungry for lunch and decided to stop at TGI Fridays, conveniently located next to the “Camelot Carousel”.
A set menu was also available, but we decided to have single dishes. Since we will be snacking in between meals.
We placed an order for one "Roti & Lori Tomato Pizza" and one "Pork Cutlet with Rice," as well as a Coke, received a vibrating bell, and waited patiently.
Do not forget to register your parking when placing your order.
Had I expected too much? It wasn't as tasty as I had anticipated.
After lunch, we took a walk around the area and discovered numerous restaurants on the third floor and first basement level.
A spot where the words "Kartrider Racing World" were prominently displayed caught my eye. I needed to make a reservation, so I booked at 3:00 p.m. Although it moves slowly, it's still enjoyable.
We heard over the air that there would be a parade at 2:00 PM, we went to the cafe, purchased a coffee, and sat down.
It was great fun to finally see a parade after so long. I'm glad I made the trip because now I can truly appreciate the Christmas spirit.
The parade lasted almost 20 minutes.
We went to Magic Island after seeing the parade. There seemed to be fewer people indoors than I had anticipated, but it turned out that everyone was actually just outside at Magic Island.
As most of the exciting attractions are located outside, the lines tend to be long.
The wait time is probably going to be around 1 hour and 30 minutes unless you get a "Magic Pass" ticket that lets you skip the line.We just went for a walk and didn't even think of any outdoor activities.
After some exploring, we stopped for churros and ice cream before heading home.
Even though this was my first visit in almost a decade, I had a fantastic time. I intend to visit Yongin Everland next.
