29cm Seongsu
Today I visited 29cm Seongsu, a curated showroom recently opened by 29CM.
Each season, 29cm Seongsu chooses a different thing as its subject and showcases brands, works, and performers that are all connected to that object. The phrase "The first autumn we meet" has been adopted as the slogan for this season.
It seems a little out of the ordinary that a concept store, rather than a brand, would launch a pop-up store. By showcasing an idea I've never seen before with an unmatched brand curation, I believe they are pioneering a new cultural trend.
The curators at 29cm Gallery and 29cm Seongsu choose a topic and then showcase a wide range of brands, products, and accessories that relate to it. Individually, the brands share nothing in common, but when compared to the guidelines established by 29CM, they start to look strangely similar.
The entrance features a brief history of 29cm Seongsu as well as an overview of the current theme, the fall.
Creation by Jiyoon Yang
The ginkgo tree, which has existed as a single species for centuries, represents individuality. Hundreds of leaves contain our tastes that cannot be described in a single word.
When exposed to light and wind, materials taken from nature convey a clear message. Continue appreciating the artwork by shifting your focus to it.
Brands at 29cm Seongsu
A brochure with store information is provided as soon as you walk in the door. Plus, the first three thousand customers will receive a coupon for 15% off their purchase of the 29CM app. When I arrived at 3:00 p.m. on the first day of operation, there were still coupons available.
Staff also provided brief explanations of how to use 29seongsu. There is no purchasing available at 29seongsu; visitors may just watch. You can buy it by scanning the QR code on the label with the 29CM app.
This disappointed me a little. The excitement of making a purchase at a store comes from seeing the item in person as well as taking it home right immediately.

Check out the second-floor stairway's markings. It is amazing
2F Showroom + Fitting room
The showroom on the second floor is an exclusive place dedicated to showcasing only one single brand.
The 'New Balance' brand is the newest addition to the store's offerings. There are no new items available from New Balance; they only carry the original New Balance 1906 range. I was able to learn about the New Balance 1906 for the first time.
Having each item thoroughly described was a great touch.
In the fitting room, there are sweatshirts that you can try on.
On the first floor, you just look around. And to see how the clothes fit, try on the ones that are hanging in the fitting room. It's a good idea to not have to carry things from the first floor to the second floor for fitting.
Fitting Room
A total of 2 fitting rooms are available. The room on the left is the standard changing area, while the one on the right is designated for social media uploads.
It was designed specifically to be shared on Instagram.
Use of Mandalaki halo lighting, complete with mirrors and greenery, of course! This is the best fitting room ever.
"Today, take pictures of your fashion and inspiration"
I tried on the sweatshirt from Navy County. Overall, it was gorgeous, but the sleeves were too big for me to comfortably wear them. It was all good. I like the 1990 on the chest the most. Even though it's the same product, I like products that can express myself with numbers and letters like 1990, B, initials, MBTI, etc.
There seem to be a lot more people.
1F Manufact Coffee Roasters
On the ground floor, you'll find Manufact Coffee. Manufact Coffee, located in Yeonhui-dong, is reportedly a popular hangout spot, but I had never heard of it before. I rarely visit Yeonhui-dong, but since it is in 29cm Seongsu, I should try the coffee!
Menu
Because they have a roastery, they sell freshly roasted beans.
There were posters advertising 29cm Seongsu all around Seongsu-dong as I walked home with my coffee.
Seongsu-dong appears to have everything one might want. Complex cultural areas including restaurants, hip hangouts, and designer boutiques.
Since Seongsu-dong can cater to everyone's preferences, I'll have to schedule future events there. Whenever you're in Seongsu-dong, don't forget to stop by 29 Seongsu.
