While on a brief business trip to Seoul, I ended up visiting OFR Seoul quite unexpectedly. The spot I initially planned to explore was closed, so I joined my group in heading to this charming bookstore and specialty shop in Seochon.

Seochon is one of those neighborhoods in Seoul that I rarely visit, but it left a lasting impression this time. I parked and strolled through its cozy alleyways, which felt even more delightful thanks to the crisp autumn weather.

The street’s vibe was warm and inviting, a perfect prelude to my OFR Seoul visit.

Though some say it can be tricky to locate, Google Maps led us there with no trouble. Nestled in a quiet corner of Seochon, OFR is a charming spot with two main sections:

Art Bookstore

The first area is a treasure trove of art books, magazines, and papers.

While not a traditional bookstore, its vast collection of art-focused publications in diverse editing styles makes it an enchanting place for anyone interested in design or photography.

I could have spent hours browsing its offerings.

Most books were unwrapped for browsing, though some were boxed and pristine. Note that while you can take photos of the space, photographing people or inside the books is not allowed.

Specialty Store

The second section showcases canvas tote bags, ball caps, and apparel.

The tote bags were especially eye-catching, available in a range of designs and colors. However, none were quite the right size for me, either too big or too small!

​OFR Seoul is more than just a bookstore or shop, it’s an experience. Its quaint charm blends perfectly with Seochon’s relaxed, artsy vibe, and it has already become a popular Instagram destination.

If you’re into art books, love quirky canvas bags, or simply want to enjoy the unique atmosphere of Seochon, OFR Seoul is a must-visit.
