Worksout (apgujeong store)

Worksout is one of the most successful companies in Korea's fashion distribution market. Beyond running its own curated shops, it imports numerous global brands into the country. Recently, it successfully opened flagship stores for renowned brands like Palace and Human Made in Seoul.

The store I visited was the Worksout Apgujeong Flagship Store, which features different brands compared to the Hongdae RYSE location. The time I visited coincided with the start of the mid-year sale and Black Friday promotions.

Located near Apgujeong Rodeo Station (close to Exit 5), the Apgujeong store is Worksout’s first flagship store. It’s surrounded by other great shopping spots, making it a convenient area for a day of retail exploration.  If you plan to visit Apgujeong, I recommend including this store in your itinerary.

The store spans three floors, offering not only a large space but also a wide variety of brands.

1F

The first floor features premium, trend-driven products. You can find winter essentials from brands like Nike, Martine Rose, and Sasquatchfabrix.

The staircase to the second floor showcases numerous Nike products, reflecting Worksout’s role as an official Nike distributor.

2F

Head to the second floor past the numerous Nikes and you’ll find a variety of brands with unique styles. The products on the second floor are generally more affordable than those on the first floor but still showcase brands with a strong sense of identity.

You can see items from The Open Product and Open Yy, which started as small local brands but have grown into established names. Other highlights include Billionaire Boys Club, created by Pharrell and Nigo, and Carhartt WIP, a brand closely tied to Worksout from the beginning. This floor offers a mix of style and value, making it worth exploring.

One section on this floor focuses on Patta and Aries, with Aries’ secondary brand, No Problemo, prominently displayed. Additionally, the floor includes a warm wood-toned space, giving the impression of a separate shop within the store.

The staircase leading to the third floor highlights New Balance shoes, presented on carpets from Worksout’s own Say Touché brand.

3F

This floor emphasizes subculture and skateboarding brands, including Stingwater, Star Team, and Punkandyo. However, brands like Fucking Awesome and Hockey were absent.

You’ll also find Star Team pants, popular among Korean skaters, at competitive prices thanks to Worksout’s exclusive distribution rights. At the far end, there is a section dedicated to Deus Ex Machina, although rumors suggest this brand may soon leave Worksout after being acquired by The Nature Holdings.

This might be the reason why Worksout is offering Deux products at such high discounts.

Although the mid-season sale and Black Friday discounts were enticing, I didn’t find anything that suited my taste, partly because I didn’t realize the brand lineup differed from the Hongdae store. Nevertheless, the store’s large scale, unique displays, and diverse brand offerings make it a must-visit for fashion enthusiasts.
