After a long weekend, I decided to head to Gwanghwamun on Sunday, thinking it would be quieter and more relaxed but apparently, I wasn’t the only one with that idea. The area turned out to be busier than any other weekend!

Despite the unexpected crowds, I stopped by Terarosa (City Center, Seoul), just a short walk from Cheonggyecheon. The café is easy to spot, it’s located in a building across the street from two major intersections and is even visible from Gwanghwamun Station.

One of Terarosa’s signature design elements is its bookshelves, which you’ll find to the left of the main entrance. On the right side, you’ll find merchandise and coffee beans for sale.

At the heart of the café is the coffee bar, which allows guests to watch the brewing process, similar to Terarosa’s location at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. The space is thoughtfully designed to encourage a relaxed, immersive coffee experience.

Prices range from 5,300 to 7,000 won, consistent with other Terarosa locations. You’ll also find the same selection of coffee beans available for purchase.

Because Terarosa offers high-quality coffee at a reasonable price, it’s always a popular spot, especially on weekends. If you’re looking for a quieter experience, a weekday visit might be a better option.

As always, I went with my go-to Latte and a Kouign-Amann.

While I couldn’t fully enjoy a peaceful, quiet Sunday due to the crowds, I still ended the day on a high note with a great cup of coffee.

If you’re specifically looking for a calm and relaxing café experience, I’d recommend checking out a different Terarosa location during the weekend. I’d love to return here when it’s less busy!
