Founded in Seoul in 2011, EASTLOGUE is the menswear label that made "made well" cool again in Korea. The name is a mash-up of "East" and "-logue" (as in dialogue) — a nod to a brand based in Asia telling its own story about clothing history. Before writing a single collection, founder and director Lee Dong-gi spent time studying the roots of menswear itself, and that research-first mindset still shows in everything the brand makes. EASTLOGUE takes its cues from traditional sportswear — the sturdy, purpose-built gear once worn for hunting, fishing, hiking, and military service — and rebuilds it with a cleaner, more wearable silhouette. The result is what the brand calls its "TIMELESS" philosophy: clothes with real tailoring and balance that don't chase seasonal trends. It's the kind of label Korean menswear nerds quietly recommend to each other, and once you feel the construction, you get why.

Inside the Rack: Lines and Standouts

EASTLOGUE runs three main lines. The flagship EASTLOGUE collection covers outerwear-driven staples — field jackets, work shirts, knitwear, and outdoor-inspired coats — all with the brand's signature military-and-workwear DNA. EASTLOGUE WOMAN applies the same philosophy to womenswear, from tailored jackets to easy knitwear. And PERMANENT, launched for the brand's 10th anniversary, strips things back to essentials — T-shirts, sweats, shirts, and denim meant to be worn on repeat rather than chased seasonally. Across all three, jackets and outerwear are where the brand really shines — hunting-inspired shooting jackets, waxed field coats, and cleanly cut work jumpers are the pieces people build a wardrobe around.

The Collab Machine

Part of what keeps EASTLOGUE feeling fresh is its steady stream of collaborations — with New Balance, Brooks Brothers, Gloverall, Descente, Nanga, Merrell 1TRL, Reebok, Gramicci, Tricker's, and even actor Byun Yo-han. These partnerships let EASTLOGUE apply its outdoor-workwear lens to categories it doesn't normally touch — footwear, technical outerwear, eyewear — and they tend to sell out fast among Seoul's fashion crowd.

A Decade of Quiet Credibility

EASTLOGUE didn't blow up overnight with a single viral moment — it built its reputation the slow way, through a decade of consistently well-made clothes that developed a loyal, almost cult-like following among Korean menswear enthusiasts. What set it apart from competitors chasing streetwear trends was its commitment to research-backed design: real archival references to hunting, fishing, and military wear, translated into pieces with genuine tailoring rather than surface-level "vintage" prints. That reputation caught the attention of department stores during the pandemic, when EASTLOGUE opened its first-ever department store shop-in-shop at The Hyundai Seoul — a rare crossover moment for a brand that had mostly lived in the independent, mania-driven corner of Korean fashion. It has since expanded into Hyundai, Shinsegae, and Galleria locations nationwide, broadening its fanbase well beyond the original core.

Why Buy It in Seoul

EASTLOGUE is a Seoul-born, Seoul-run label, and the full range — including past-season archive pieces, the widest size runs, and every collaboration — is really only available in full at home. International stockists exist, but they're limited to a handful of curated shops abroad, usually carrying a small, seasonal edit rather than the complete lineup. Shopping in Seoul also means access to VAT (tax) refunds for international visitors and the chance to see the brand's flagship "fr8ight" store concept, which pairs EASTLOGUE with its sister label Unaffected under one roof.
