Yeouido Hangang Park (with Starlight tent rental)
For the first time in a while, I decided to take my pals on a picnic at Hangang Park. We usually simply bring a mat and order food and play in the hot sun, but there's a place in Yeouido's Hangang Park that rents out tents and other picnic gear, so we thought we'd take advantage of it this time.
It was the Starlight Tent, conveniently situated just 2 minutes from Yeouinaru Station's Exit 1 on Line 5.
As soon as you walk into the shop, you'll see a spread of picnic supplies.
Tents that are set up with a single touch, mats, tables, chairs, lights, table fans, mirrors, speakers, blankets, and more are all on hand.
And a wide variety of board games.
If you don't need a tent for your picnic, you can rent just the mats and tables.
The Premium #2, which includes a tent, was the one we opted to use.
Camping equipment such as tents, tables, air pillows, games, illumination for stands, chairs, Bluetooth speakers, and fans are included. We added one more chair and a big parasol because the option was only for 2 people.
There is a three-hour time limit, but if you book your visit using the Naver application, you'll get an extra hour. Take advantage of all the promotions; for example, if you leave a review on multiple social media platforms, you'll get another extra hour.
In front of the shop is a sign explaining how to access the Tent area in Yeouido Hangang Park. The red spaces on either side of Yeouinaru Station are designated as tent-friendly spots.
Apr-May & Sep-Oct : 9:00 - 19:00 / Jun-Aug : 9:00-20:00
You will be charged a fee if you continue to use the tent after the allotted time has passed.
Time to move to the Yeouido Hangang Park.
The day was beautiful, and the abundance of trees made for pleasant shade.
People setting up tents and having a good time at the Hangang Tent Zone make for a gorgeous scene.
The tent can be set up in only three seconds with a single touch. Camp table and chairs were set up, and a parasol was placed on one side.
Cover the table and set it up with a stand-up fan, some mood lighting, and a Bluetooth speaker.
To keep the parasol from being blown over, I parked the cart right near the pole.
Inside the tent, a mat was laid out, and a small table and air pillow were erected. It's wonderful to be able to stretch out and sleep.
Ramyun and Gimbap from a nearby store and home-prepared tomatoes, cherries, and melons.
The ramyun tastes always better when eaten outside...
Ramen and gimbap, though, were just starters; we also had pizza delivered.
You can arrange to meet the food delivery at the pickup zone later by calling the delivery service. It took us 35–40 minutes to pick up the food.
At seven, when the sun was beginning to drop, we knew it was time to leave.
When you're done using the tent, simply fold it up like this. If you're having trouble folding the tent, try watching videos on YouTube or asking someone nearby for assistance.
You can still use the table and chairs after folding up the tent. Plug your phone into the Bluetooth speaker to turn on the lights and play some tunes.
That's how we had fun, and we gave the gear back at 9 p.m. You'll need to get the gear back before the store closes at 10:00 p.m.
Relax in the shade of the trees beside the Hangang (River), feast on excellent food, and have fun playing games at a picnic that feels just like being at a campsite.
