Yeouido Hangang Park (with Starlight tent rental)
It had been a while since my last Hangang Park picnic, so I decided to invite my friends for a fun and relaxing day outdoors. Normally, we just bring a mat, order food, and bask in the sun, but this time, we discovered a place in Yeouido Hangang Park that rents out tents and picnic gear, so we decided to upgrade our picnic experience!
We rented our gear from Starlight Tent, which is just a 2-minute walk from Exit 1 of Yeouinaru Station (Line 5), super convenient!
As soon as you step inside, you'll find a wide selection of picnic essentials, including:
One-touch pop-up tents
Mats, tables, and chairs
Lights, table fans, and blankets
Bluetooth speakers and mirrors
Board games and air pillows
Menu
If you don’t need a tent, you can also rent just mats and tables for a simpler setup.
We went for Premium #2, which includes :
A tent
Table and chairs
Air pillows
Mood lighting and stand lights
Bluetooth speaker
Table fan
Board games
Since this setup was for two people, we added an extra chair and a large parasol to accommodate our group. The rental period is 3 hours, if you stay past your rental time, additional charges apply.
Tent Zone
Before heading to the tent zone, we checked the guidelines posted outside the rental shop. The designated tent-friendly areas are marked in red on the map near Yeouinaru Station.
Apr-May & Sep-Oct : 9:00 - 19:00 / Jun-Aug : 9:00-20:00
We couldn’t have picked a better day for a picnic, clear skies, plenty of trees for shade, and a cool breeze.
The tent area was filled with families, couples, and friends enjoying their time. The scene of people setting up tents and relaxing along the Hangang River made for a picture-perfect view.
Inside the tent, we laid out a mat, small table, and air pillows, creating a cozy space to stretch out and relax.
Of course, no picnic is complete without amazing food! Ramyun and Gimbap from a nearby store and home-prepared tomatoes, cherries, and melons.
There’s a designated food delivery pickup zone, so after placing our order, we waited around 35-40 minutes to grab our pizza.
The ramyun tasted even better outdoors, and the combination of gimbap, fresh fruit, and pizza made for the ultimate picnic spread.
By 7 pm, as the sun began to set, we knew it was time to wrap up.
Folding the tent was a bit tricky at first, but a quick YouTube tutorial helped us get it done! If you’re struggling, you can also ask someone nearby for assistance.
Spending the day at Yeouido Hangang Park felt like a mini camping trip without leaving the city. Relaxing under the trees, enjoying great food, and playing games with friends made for the perfect day outdoors.
If you're looking for a fun, hassle-free way to enjoy Hangang Park, I highly recommend renting a picnic tent! Just make sure to book in advance and take advantage of discounts and promotions for extra time.
