Dongbaekhun

Following an enjoyable day in Anguk-dong in the scorching summer heat, we headed to the neighboring Dongbaekheon Cafe in Samcheonggak for some delicious Mango Bingsu (shaved ice).

This delicious combination of fresh mango, condensed milk, and red bean paste totally brightened my day.

Samcheonggak is a traditional cultural and artistic space that offers a variety of experiences, including high-quality Korean cuisine, cafes, and weddings.

In addition, there is an art gallery nearby, making it a wonderful spot for a date or to come with your friends and family.

Parking is available so you can bring your car or catch a shuttle bus that departs from either Anguk Station Exit 5 or Hansung University Station Exit 6.

Dongbaekhun

Dongbaekheon is a Korean traditional cafe housed within Samcheonggak.

While Andong, Gyeongju, and Jeonju are more well-known cities for their Hanok (Korean traditional architecture), Seoul offers a similarly serene setting without traveling too far from the city center.

In this cafe, you may take in the breathtaking scenery of all four seasons in Korea. Come on a nice day because there are tables outside. Everyone would love this authentic Korean atmosphere.

From the entrance, you get a traditional vibe. Looking at traditional pottery, artwork, and valuable accessories was a pleasant experience, as one would expect from a Hanok cafe.

The Bingsu (shaved ice) at Dongbaekheon is a summertime favorite.

One kind is Mango shaved ice, while the other is Melon shaved ice. Both comes with locally produced sweet red beans and vanilla ice cream.

Traditional Korean desserts and teas are available, along with coffee beverages. In addition, you can have a combo that includes Korean traditional tea and snacks. Instead of the typical cakes or cookies, you will be provided nutritious Korean snacks.

A variety of ingredients, including Korean sweets, red beans, and condensed milk, make up the shaved ice. The sweets tasted so good that it seemed like they were just baked in the kitchen.

To enhance the flavor of the mango bingsu, you can drizzle some condensed milk on top.
