​Milestone Coffee Roasters is a well-known specialty coffee brand, and they recently opened their third location in Seongsu-dong (Seoul), following their successful spots in Apgujeong and Hannam-dong.

As expected, the new store delivers excellent coffee, friendly staff, and a steady flow of customers.

Since it was their grand opening day, the café was packed. After a short wait, we were guided to a seat in the backyard, where the cool air from inside made the mildly warm weather surprisingly pleasant.

The café had a distinct Australian café vibe, adding to its charm. Despite the overwhelming number of customers, the staff remained kind, professional, and incredibly efficient.

Both were exceptional. The bitterness of the espresso paired beautifully with the smooth milk, and the flavors became even more pronounced when sipped separately.

I usually struggle with the overpowering acidity of flat whites at most cafés, where the bright, sour notes overshadow the creaminess of the milk. Many people consider that a "classic flat white", but I’ve never been a big fan of that style.

However, Milestone’s Flat White was different. It had a perfect balance between espresso and milk, making it silky smooth, almost like a latte, even before stirring.

As many café brands expand, it’s common for their quality to decline with each new location. However, Milestone Seongsu has maintained its high standards.

For the residents of Seongsu-dong, this is an exciting addition to the neighborhood. Personally, I prefer the atmosphere of the Seongsu location over their branches in Hannam-dong and Dosan.

Beyond the quality of their coffee, I also love Milestone Coffee Roasters’ branding. Their attention to detail, consistency, and inviting ambiance make this a café worth returning to.
