Nudake (seongsu) is where I went to see a friend who works in the area of Seoul Forest.

We visited there because the bunny cake from the NewJeans collaboration with the trendy cafe Nudake is all the rage right now. So, there were a lot of people taking pictures right outside the door, and the cafe was nearly full.

The bunny cake had sold out by the time I got there, but I was still pleased to see the collaboration.

From far away, I could see the white bunny painted on the wall. There were a large number of tourists, and many of them were snapping photos of themselves in front of this painting. The pop-up hosted by Nudake and NewJeans will be open from December 23rd through January 21st.

To be honest, I was surprised by how popular it was.

A huge NewJeans cake model awaits you as soon as you step inside the Nudake Seongsu store.

 

NewJeans Cake  35,000

The cake is about the size of a grown man's palm, but the price is the same as that of a big cake stuffed with strawberries. All colors were sold out, therefore my eyes, which were not included in the NewJeans bunny cake, have become rabbit eyes. lol

That small one, at that price! The price was ridiculous.

Nudake is well-known for this green tea cake.

They also sell a wide selection of products created in collaboration with Nudake and NewJeans.

In the middle of the café is a huge round table displaying various statues and works of art.

The staff will give you a guest pager when you order a beverage.

Although there were square tables available, we ended up sitting at the circular one instead due to the high volume of guests.​ We ordered Americano and Flat White while everyone else was drinking the house specialty.

 

Long Black  5,000

​The iced Americano had an acidic flavor, and it was nice that both the hot and iced versions of the drink cost the same.

Requests for decaf or more shots cost 500 won in addition to the regular price. It was good that the coffee wasn't ridiculously expensive.

 

Flat White  6,000

​A friend who preferred sweet coffee ordered this flat white. The espresso was rich, and the milk was soft, but my friend claimed it wasn't sweet.

​Nudake Cafe is always crowded, so I had to return home dozens of times, but that day I was fortunate to be able to enter.

The environment was somewhat noisy, and the coffee was just okay. The Nudake Seongsu location is where you should go if you're looking for anything else than the typical dessert.

After January 21st, visitors will likely not be able to see the pop-up or the big bunny model at the entrance. Nudake is a great cafe to visit if you're looking for a place with an artistic vibe.
