Constructed in 1971, this is the Seosomun apartment in Seodaemun. Even if it looks creepy when you go at night, it is totally different when you go during the day.

A 115-meter-tall, seven-story river-shaped apartment was built over the covered stream.

Several cafés with distinct concepts can be found on the first floor of this apartment building, filling the area with the aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans.

An espresso bar with a unique atmosphere has recently opened on the ground floor.

The Pfiff Espresso Bar, which had its first location in Yeonnam-dong, became so successful that they decided to open a second one here.

Unlike the Yeonnam location, this cafe focuses on local office workers.

As you can see the store isn't very big and you can't stay at the bar for a long time.

Although you drink your coffee at the bar, you won't be able to stay there for a long time because people will pass behind you all the time.

 

Menu

​Pfiff Coffee (espresso with an Earl gray flavor cream) and Ferrero (espresso with milk and hazelnut cream) are two of the most popular signature items on this menu. I went with the Ferrero.

A selection of espresso-based beverages, including Americano, are popular as well.

​Numerous people bought also coffee beans.

She told me to drink half of it first and then shake the other half. The coffee had a nutty flavor and wasn't very acidic. It went well with the sweet cream. 

This place is far away from my office, but if it were nearby, I'd come here often to get coffee.

After enjoying a cup of delicious coffee, I strolled along Jeongdong-gil.

It is a lovely street with lots of nice cafes around here, so my friends and I plan to return as soon as fall arrives.

It was a breathtaking afternoon stroll along Jeongdong-gil, one of Seoul's most beautiful streets. I should return for a stroll along this picturesque Doldam-gil when the leaves begin to change color and fall.
