Maison Ouvert Seoul -temporary closed-
Seochon is rapidly becoming a hub for stylish and contemporary cafés, with new spots popping up throughout the neighborhood. One of the latest additions is Maison Ouvert Seoul, the fifth location of this beloved café chain.
Nestled in a renovated old house, Maison Ouvert sits just to the left of the Nuha-dong intersection, surrounded by popular eateries like Goatt Deli and Nachbar.
With exposed concrete walls and a carefully curated urban aesthetic, Maison Ouvert Seoul exudes a chic yet understated charm.
Maison Ouvert isn’t the only Ouvert café in the area—there’s another location nearby, simply called Ouvert Seoul. To keep things clear:
Ouvert Seoul (Seochon location) – Offers a wider selection of coffee and specialty drinks.
Maison Ouvert (Nuha location) – Focuses more on freshly baked bread and pastries, with a more limited coffee menu.
Upon entering, the first thing you’ll notice is the beautiful display of croissants and baguettes. Compared to the Ouvert Seoul location, the bread selection here is far more extensive.
At 4,000–5,000 KRW per piece, the prices feel reasonable given the rising cost of everything these days.
Where to order
Menu
Unlike the Seochon location, which offers an array of specialty beverages, Maison Ouvert (Nuha) keeps things simple with a primarily coffee-focused menu. The only non-caffeinated option available is Royal Milk Tea.
The café’s seating areas are located on the second and third floors, while the first floor serves as the ordering area. What makes the upper levels stand out is their preserved traditional architecture, seamlessly blended with modern elements.
As you head up to the second floor, you’ll notice a fresh, contemporary vibe, contrasting beautifully with the building’s historic charm.
3F
Once you arrive, you’ll be greeted by some truly eye-catching design elements. Most notably, a lattice ceiling and a deconstructed piano with its front completely removed! It’s a bold and unconventional design choice that immediately grabs your attention.

Outside Seating
Of course, the experience wouldn’t be complete without great coffee, and Maison Ouvert delivered. Plus, you get one free refill of an Americano, which is a nice touch.
Maison Ouvert is perfect for those who enjoy exploring trendy, modern cafés while still appreciating a space with character and history. It’s also a great spot for a relaxing lunch break.
