At first glance, the building didn’t seem to have a café inside, which made me hesitate before going in. But I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did.

To reach Type Hangang, take the elevator to the 5th floor.

The ground-floor lobby looks sleek and modern, and once inside the elevator, you’re treated to incredible views of the surrounding area.

I visited on a Tuesday at 3 p.m., and to my surprise, there were plenty of available seats.

Naturally, the window seats were the most desirable spots, offering an unobstructed view of the Han River. The scene was absolutely breathtaking, who wouldn’t want to sit here?

Since I prefer coffee without acidity, I ordered their Drip Coffee No. 3: Peru Tabaconas Finca Mercedes Pedro Condeso (yes, the name is a mouthful! 😂).

In addition, I tried a Latte and an Apple Cinnamon Crumble

They also offer wine (white 13,000 won/glass, red 14,000 won/glass)

Near the counter, they have merchandise available for purchase, including hand cream from Rbow.

The café also has some house rules to ensure a pleasant experience

• Seating is limited to 2 hours.
• No laptop or tablet use after 6 p.m.
• Devices must be on silent mode.

I had read that the café could get noisy and crowded, even on weekdays. However, when I visited, it was just right, not too busy, not too quiet.

The drip coffee was incredibly flavorful, and the crumble had a delicious balance of sweetness and spice, perfectly complementing the coffee.

The staff were friendly, and the restrooms were spotless, adding to the overall comfort of the space.

Sipping a cup of coffee while gazing at the Han River, Seogang Bridge, and Bamseom Island was the perfect way to lift my spirits.
