After 3 years, Psy's long-awaited "Summer Swag" concert is finally back.

In both 2018 and 2019, I attended the "Summer Swag". However, for the past three years, the "Summer swag" wasn't there due to COVID-19.

Originally, it was hosted in Gwang-ju City every year, however, Gwang-ju City was not on the list of regions this time. So, after researching available dates and nearby hotels, I chose to travel to Seoul and Busan.

It was hard to get tickets for the 2022 event, maybe because everyone was attempting to let out the tension that had built up during the previous three years.

Thankfully, the ticket sales in Seoul and Busan went smoothly. The Standing Zone “GA”, No. 62, was mine. WOW

After being in the first standing zone for the 2018 Gwangju "Summer Swag", I was concerned that if I purchased a ticket and was given the thousandth number, I would have to reconsider my attendance. But, standing zone no.62 is a fantastic seat to see the concert.

The last day of the Psy Summer Swag in Seoul

Going to the "Summer Swag" with a group of friends is a lot of fun, but going by yourself is also great fun. You will have no friends or acquaintances if you attend alone. So let's just say it's an environment where you can forget about everything and simply enjoy yourself. However, you will be bored while waiting if you go by yourself.

Once again, it had been a while since I'd visited Jamsil, for the BTS concert back in March. Quite a crowd indeed... Blue all around. In Seoul, I saw that during the weekend of the "Summer Swag", people were wearing blue short sleeves printed with the Psy logo.

I have decided to go to the Busan concert as well, so I decided to get a Summer Swag T-shirt and a Waterproof bag.

After the last two performances, I realized that it is quite annoying to have a waterproof phone pouch around my neck while I jump since it just bounces in front of my chest.

Additionally, it was a pain to constantly place and remove my phone from the pouch before snapping a photo; consequently, I invested in a PVC bag this year. I am pleased with my purchase because the UNDERCROSS product's price was reasonable and the bag is even more attractive in person.

It was extremely helpful to the show. Highly suggested for people who attend a "Waterbomb festival" or "Summer swag".

 

Standing Zone starts to enter

It was said that access would be allowed at 5:12, so I waited in line from 4:42, but the opening was delayed, so it began entering around 5:30.

Here was where I was standing and watching the concert.

The late opening of the entrance meant that the performance could not begin at its scheduled time of 6:42, time of the performance was originally scheduled for. Nonetheless, I was able to bear it because they sprayed some water. 

Next time, it would be also nice to book a seat in the back so I can watch the standing zone's audience jump and run together.

Special guest -Sunmi-

Because I've been to Psy’s concert several times, I can usually guess who will show up. However, Sunmi didn't show up on the first two days in Incheon and Seoul, so I believed Sunmi would show up that day.

After the Gwangju Summer swag 2018, it was great to see Sunmi again.

Second special guest  -Simon D-

Simon D made an appearance as a special guest at the concert on the 2nd day, so I wasn't expecting to see him or any of his buddies that day.

In the very front row, I had a fantastic time and snapped several photos.

Since Simon D had visited the day before, I had hoped that Suga (BTS) would return as a guest as well; but, he did not show up.

Close to the end of the show, he stopped singing, dropped the mike, and yelled "thank you" in a way that gave me the chills.

Incredibly, Psy did two concerts in succession and his voice came out like that on the third day; I yelled for a day at a concert and battled for a week.

For those who have never experienced a "Summer Swag", the huge volume of water is difficult to imagine.

To the point that different kinds of water are sprayed for different purposes. Droplets were as small as mist, a downpour like hail, etc. It's a water party, with water blasting like a bomb all around. Even my underwear has become soaked.

 

Fireworks

The fireworks were beautiful and spectacular, but a lot of ash from the fireworks rained in our direction, covering our bodies and irritating our eyes. It was really disheartening as every time fireworks went off on stage, a cloud of ash surrounded us.

After four intense hours of music, the show was done. We haven't screamed, jumped, and had fun like this in a very long time.

Actually, I have one concert remaining: Psy Summer Swag in Busan. Hold on, I'll go absolutely nuts for one last round.

“Please keep the tickets for today's concert. You never know where that ticket will take you.”

I'm excited to find out what this is. Perhaps some pre-order bonuses for the next concert?
