Four Points by Sheraton Josun, Seoul Myeongdong (Superior, 1 Double)
The Four Points by Sheraton Josun, Seoul Myeongdong is a fantastic Marriott hotel in the heart of downtown Seoul. I took advantage of Marriott's limited-time offer and had a wonderful stay.
Exit 12 of the Euljiro 3-ga Subway Station is connected immediately to the hotel, making it convenient to take the subway. A parking cost of KRW 15,000 will be added to the total if you bring a car.
Lobby (4F)
Even though I stayed throughout the week during the promotion period, they informed me that the hotel was at capacity. Taken from the upper levels of the lobby, this view shows the back of the massive monument.
Room #2004 (Superior, 1 Double, City view)
Jamsil Lotte Tower on the left, Myeongdong Cathedral on the right, and Namsan Tower in the foreground make for an impressive panorama.
We asked for a humidifier and air purifier to be installed, but they said they were booked up and could only provide us with an air purifier.
The room was comfortable for two people, and it was great to have access to streaming services like Netflix and YouTube on the TV.
Night View
This place is great both during the day and at night. Because of the building's height, it was particularly pleasant to have a clear view in every direction.
Euljiro Golbaengi Street
The Four Points Myeongdong Hotel is conveniently located in front of the popular Euljiro Golbaengi Street, where I purchased dinner to enjoy in my room later that night.
Green onions are a distinctive ingredient in Euljiro Golbaengi. Spiciness is reduced when eaten with eggs, so that was a nice combination.
Evolution Restaurant (3F)
Since I am a Marriott Rewards member, I was able to take advantage of the complimentary breakfast and the extended check-out time of 4:00 p.m.
Since Josun Hotel & Resort runs the Evolution restaurant, I had high expectations for the food. The breakfast buffet offers over 90 seasonal options to choose from, all of which are fantastic.
Nearby Attractions
1. Euljiro Nogari Alley & Manseon Hof
The location of Four Points Myeongdong is great, as I can walk to numerous attractions.
Euljiro Nogari Alley and the nearby Manseon Hof attracted a large crowd. The buildings across the street are currently being demolished, thus it appears that Nogari Alley will soon look very different.
2. Myeongdong
Myeongdong was full of international visitors. There is a wide selection of tasty street foods to choose from in the evenings. Just as crowded as before COVID-19.
3. Euljiro (Hipjiro)
Euljiro, often known as hipjiro, is a trendy neighborhood. Hipjiro is popular even on weekdays and is located directly in front of the hotel, making it easy to get to and from.
4. Gwancheol-dong, Jongno
Taking a stroll through Jongno Gwancheol-dong is something I haven't done in a while. It was refreshing to see the old sensibilities revived upon my return. After thirty years, nothing has changed.
5. Namsan
I took a stroll up Namsan after breakfast. Namsan Dulle-Gil is a regular part of my staycation routine, but today I decided to descend the mountain via Namsan Library. It was good to be outside and enjoy the pleasant weather.
Gate guard changing ceremony (11 am)
Namsan Tower's "Love Key" locks
Starbucks in Namsan Tower
Cute dolls with Hanbok (Korean traditional clothing) on sale.
Proposal Staircase
Due to elevator renovations, the Namsan Tower observatory is currently closed. A trip to Namsan is always enjoyable.
