Gatgaji Bookstay
For one night, a peaceful bookstay was being offered. I know I'll miss it, therefore I want to record my thoughts here while I still can.
Upon passing through the white gate, a little yard will come into view. The little size didn't matter because it was the most healing spot I could have stayed.
The area that welcomes guests when we walk in the front entrance.
Incense was provided, along with some suggested reading.
There was also a speaker connected to the iPod, and the owner's custom playlist was playing. The combination of the gloomy weather and the cozy ambiance of the lodging made the music peaceful.
As a result, I forgot to turn it off for a long time.
In the tiny kitchen hidden behind the introduction area, coffee and tea were prepared with a hand drip set. Just being able to make my own coffee is making me happy.
In addition, the necessary tableware was already set up for both in-house dining and takeout.
I enjoy reading, but I also take pleasure in thinking about which of the books on the shelf to pick up next.
It was cozier than I expected to find a bookcase full of books, and I had a great time selecting some of my favorites to read.
The peaceful, calming scene outside my window made me feel as though I were the only one experiencing the passage of time.
The bathroom had everything I needed besides a toothbrush, and the towels were so soft and luxurious.
I used to spend most of my time here, reading and snacking. Because of the soft lighting and relaxing music, I was able to read for longer without noticing the passage of time.
I imagined creating a similar area in my own home, complete with soft lighting like this place.
A look at the outside from the front door. The surrounding homes were taller than our accomodation, making it feel more like a secret hideaway.
All day long, clouds and light rain fell.
As the rain gently fell outside, I opened the folding door and poured myself a beer.
When was the last time I heard rain? The soothing sounds of the rain and wind made for a joyful moment.
Enjoy the day at home, surrounded by pleasant music and aromas.
It made me sad that the day was ending, so I remained up till quite late.
It was a bright and lovely morning when I awoke.
I had hoped to check out the accomodation on a beautiful day, and my day started off splendidly.
The weather was lovely, so I left the door open and had a cup of coffee outside.
While I was there, I signed the guestbook and wrote a short note. I couldn't remember the last time I used a pencil or eraser.
I'm too embarrassed to read what I've written, but when I return, I'll read the note I made in the guestbook and remember how wonderful today was.
After leaving my room, I followed a guestbook tip and went to Bundang History Park in Itaewon to enjoy the view of Namsan Tower.
In fewer than 5 minutes, you can reach the breathtaking scenery that awaits you, just outside the accommodation.
I think it would be much more beautiful if I went at night, so the next time I come I will definitely take a stroll after dark.
