Grand Hyatt Seoul (Mountain view)
My friends and I took a trip to the Grand Hyatt Seoul to celebrate the end of the year. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would recommend it for its convenient location, comfortable rooms, and kind staff.
The ice rink is now open, but we visited when it had not yet opened, so we only used the swimming pool and fitness center throughout our stay.
After eliminating places to stay that wouldn't allow outside food, we settled on the Grand Hyatt Seoul Hotel, which turned out to be a fantastic pick and where we had a pleasant stay.
Lobby
There were a lot of people having breakfast in the lobby lounge.
The most thrilling part of the vacation is when you finally get to check-in. Several tourists were checking in, and the customer service of Grand Hyatt was great.
Mountain View Room (2 Single & 1 Sofa bed)
We were a group of 5, and we booked two rooms, one for 2 people and the other for 3 people. I booked a triple occupancy room with a view of the mountains, and they kindly provided a sofa bed.
The view from this room was superior to that from the room for two. Instead, the sofa bed made this room too small to host a party, so we all gathered in the next room.
We went in the middle of November; imagine how beautiful it would be with a blanket of snow in December! Visit during any of the four seasons, and you'll still be impressed by the scenery.
Leaves had fallen, but the view was still so appealing.
Despite its small size of single, the bed was quite adequate for a single female to spend the night in peace.
I just couldn't resist photographing the breathtaking sunset from that vantage point. One of the nicest parts of staying at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, in my opinion, was the breathtaking views over Seoul.
Bathroom
The Balmain Hotel toiletries had a lovely fragrance.
Mountain View Room (2 Single beds)
I stayed in this room, however, the view from the other room was more appealing. It was unfortunate that my view of Namsan Tower was from the side rather than the front.
Looking at the ratings of the Han River View vs. the Namsan View, it appears that the Han River can be viewed from quite a distance. So, choosing the Namsan mountain view was a good decision.
I fell asleep while staring at the Namsan Tower from my bed. Seeing such a beautiful scene was a lovely and admirable time.
Cup noodles are what we brought.
Our wine was nice and cool thanks to the ice I brought.
Food delivery from local eateries is available at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. We placed separate orders and shared our food.
Dongdong-ju
I picked up a vintage Dongdongju (alcohol) from Woori-sul Festival (Liquor Festival). If you enjoy Makgeolli, you should try this.
The view from the Grand Hyatt Seoul at night is stunning. Those interested in seeing the city illuminated at night should request a room with a view of the Namsan mountains rather than the Han River.
Instead of the breakfast buffet, we had some Cheese bread and Financier.
GL Floor
The GL floor is where you'll find the swimming pool, yoga studio, and fitness center (your sneakers are required for the fitness center).
You'll need a swimsuit and a swim cap to use the pool; caps are available for purchase at the front desk.
Yoga / Pilates
There were separate yoga and pilates rooms in the gym where we worked out.
Indoor Pool
We forgot to bring our swim caps along with us, so we bought them. The indoor pool and spa were also rather small in size. Sunbeds were free to use.
Fitness Center
A tracksuit was provided, however, footwear must be brought by the individual. The gym itself was a pleasant place to work out because it was tidy and quiet.
The center one is an earphone sterilizer, so you can run on the treadmill while watching and listening to your favorite show with sterilized earphones.
There was a nice variety of exercise machines.
The outdoor pool was being covered so that it could be transformed into an ice skating rink. We couldn't skate when we got there, but it looks like a lot of people do now that it's been renovated and remodeled. I would love to go ice skating next time.
The Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul is an ideal location for celebrating events with friends, relatives, or a particular someone. At some point in the future, I hope to return for a special occasion.
