Grand Hyatt Seoul (Mountain view)
To mark the end of the year, my friends and I decided to take a trip to Grand Hyatt Seoul. With its convenient location, comfortable rooms, and exceptional service, it turned out to be a fantastic choice. I had a great stay and would definitely recommend it!
Lobby
One of the most exciting moments of any trip is checking into the hotel. The lobby was bustling with tourists, yet the customer service at Grand Hyatt was impeccable.
Mountain View Room (2 Single & 1 Sofa bed)
We were a group of five and we booked two rooms; one for two guests and one room for 3 guests (Mountain View).
I stayed in the triple-occupancy room with a mountain view, which included two single beds and a sofa bed.
Tip: The mountain view was actually better than the view from the two-person room!
The scenery from our room was breathtaking, even though we visited in mid-November, the landscape still had a stunning charm. I can only imagine how magical it must look with a blanket of snow in December!
No matter which season you visit, the view will leave you impressed.
Even though most of the leaves had fallen, the mountain scenery was still incredibly beautiful.
Watching the sunset over Seoul from our window was absolutely mesmerizing, one of the best parts of staying at Grand Hyatt Seoul.
Bathroom
The Second Room : Mountain View Room (2 Single beds)
I stayed in the other room, which featured two single beds.
While it was comfortable, the mountain view from the first room was much better. I had a side view of Namsan Tower, rather than a front-facing one.
After comparing reviews, it seems that Han River View vs. Namsan View is a common debate. Since the Han River is farther away, I think choosing the Namsan Mountain View was the right call.
One of my favorite moments? Falling asleep while gazing at Namsan Tower from my bed, a truly serene experience.
One of the perks of staying at Grand Hyatt Seoul is that food delivery from local restaurants is allowed. We placed separate orders and shared a variety of delicious meals in our room.
Dongdong-ju
During our trip, I picked up a vintage Dongdongju (a type of traditional rice wine) from the Woori-Sul Festival (Liquor Festival). If you’re a Makgeolli fan, I highly recommend trying it!
At night, the view from the hotel was simply breathtaking.
Tip: If you want to see the city lights at night, I recommend booking a room with a Namsan Mountain View rather than a Han River View.
GL Floor
The GL floor is where you'll find the swimming pool, yoga studio, and fitness center (Sneakers are required for the fitness center).
Yoga / Pilates
Indoor Pool
Swimwear and a swim cap are required for the pool (caps can be purchased at the front desk).
Fitness Center
Tracksuits were provided, but you must bring your own sneakers.
During our stay, the outdoor pool was being covered and converted into an ice skating rink.
Unfortunately, we arrived before it opened, so we couldn’t skate. Next time, I’d love to return in winter just for the ice skating experience.
Grand Hyatt Seoul is an excellent choice with its stunning views, top-notch service, and convenient location, this hotel offers an unforgettable experience. I hope to return for another special occasion in the future, perhaps in winter, to finally try the ice rink!
