Hanok Essay Seochon
I visited Hanok Essay, which is located in Seochon.
When I posted the above main photo on social media, even friends I hadn't been in touch with contacted me and asked where it was. Photos taken in any part of Hanok Essay Seochon will turn out beautifully.
Let's start with the introduction of the accommodation.
This is the floor area just inside the entrance hall from the yard. A stove is perfect for a cozy evening fire.
A comfortable couch
The bathtub and outdoor deck. It's so beautiful and breezy in here since this window opens right onto the yard.
Bedroom
The hotel provided me with these pajamas, and I think they go nicely with the decor here. I just didn't want to get out of bed because the room was so comfortable.
My friend had already visited Hanok Essay Seochon a few months before our trip.
We went on a rainy day, but it's still lovely there. It's also a place that would look lovely covered with snow, of course, and on a sunny day.
Since I had some time until check-in at 4 o'clock, we stopped at the nearby Hanok cafe, Tidewater.
Hanok Essay Seochon can be found in a peaceful alley surrounded by traditional Korean houses, hanok.
Hanok Essay Seochon is more like a guesthouse than a hotel.
Due to the private nature of the property, only one group at a time is permitted to stay there, therefore competition is high for bookings. Even so, it's a fantastic place to spend the night!

You can see the L-shaped big windows up front as soon as you walk through the front gate, and there is a yard right there.
When I went there for the first time, I was confused about which door to use, but a friend who had been there before explained that the glass window in front was the main entrance.
It's relaxing with the windows wide open. However, windows must be closed at sunset because of insects.
When you enter the front door, there is a stove, chairs, and tables, and the wall is decorated as a kitchen.
In addition, there was a pleasant aroma throughout the entire lodging.
Stove
It has a big window where you can see the yard and the hanok's roof tiles uninterrupted. It is a spot for relaxation in the heart of Seoul.
Room shoes
They also provide room shoes, although I only used them once and ended up going shoeless.
There is a bedroom and a kitchen at Hanok Essay, and while I enjoy both spaces, the one from the bedroom has the better view.
Even though the bath's cover is made of sturdy wood, don't try to climb on it.
Interior was stunning. Many gentle lights illuminated the room, and the large windows ensured that I never felt in the dark. The mood was wonderful.
Even the included pajamas exude warm and comforting aromas.
After changing into pajamas and putting all my bags in the closet, I felt cozy as if I was alone in this space.
It was so beautiful that even after I checked in, I couldn't stop looking around the accommodation.
Tea ceremony set
I planned to take a bath while observing the night sky and sipping warm tea. However, due to the angle, it was difficult to see the night sky from a bathtub.
Bedroom
The bedroom is not an independent room. However, when you lie down on the bed, you can see the yard, so it's much more comfortable and pleasant than I anticipated.
There was a nice aroma even in bed, we were like puppies and couldn't stop sniffing everything.
The duvet was so warm and comforting, and the bed was so spacious and lofty, that we both slept so well.
Air purifier
And since it is summer, insects have begun to appear, but mosquito spray is ready for use.
There are a lot of things to introduce. Taking a bath in the bathtub is a must-see, especially at night.
Bathroom
It's good to leave this door open when taking pictures at night. When the door is closed, that bathroom light leaks out and leaves gentle stripes on your body.
TIP. Bring your toothbrush!
There is hand wash and toothpaste in the sink. Toothbrushes are not provided, so you can purchase them at nearby convenience stores.
Hair Dryer
Towels
The toilet, sink, and shower are all separated. Everything is neatly and comfortably maintained.
You can put used towels and pajamas in the laundry basket below.
Shower
Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are all provided, and the water pressure in the shower is all good.
There is a table in the center and chairs on either side that look out into the yard, making it an ideal spot for a meal.
A stove you can enjoy in Hanok Essay Seocho.
Although it is indoors, you can see the yard, so you can feel nature whether it rains or snows.
It was quite relaxing to have a bath in the evening and then sit in front of the fire for a while.
The wall-mounted kitchen is fully equipped, so even a quick visit will leave you with enough supplies for a comfortable stay.
While coffee can be brewed, I choose to start the day with a cup of hot tea instead.
Some of the items you'll find in the drawers include: scissors, bottle openers, wine openers, cutlery sets, and serving trays and plates made of wood.
The trash should be placed in the yellow plastic bag on the left, and the dishes used should be washed.
High-end Bluetooth speaker
It was a pricey speaker, as my friend had explained. I paired it with some soothing music via Bluetooth, and we had a truly beautiful time together.
I went to a convenience store in the area to buy a toothbrush and some extra beverages/snacks for the evening.
The famous Downtowner Burger
I tried the popular avocado burger. During the evening, there were an excessive number of orders, thus the order was blocked for some time. Thankfully, it was delivered before evening.
I was getting ready to take a bath as the sun began to drop after dinner.
Due to the bathtub's size and depth, it took longer than anticipated to fill it with water.
You can relax in the tub with the window open because there is a screen.
This is the view you get when you sit in the tub and stare out at the backyard.
I was delighted after taking a bath and relaxing in front of the stove. It makes sense to me that accommodation is always at capacity.

Enjoyed some tea out in the yard.
Having enjoyed a wonderful time in a traditional Korean house, hanok. We had gotten plenty of rest, I can say that my experience there was highly rewarding.
