Ha Eun-jae
My friend and I spent a day at a Hanok (traditional Korean house) accommodation in Seochon, Seoul.
Seochon has plenty of Hanok stay options, but Ha Eun-jae stood out as the perfect fit for what we were looking for. Without hesitation, we booked a room.
Since it’s a highly sought-after stay, reservations need to be made quickly. Note that Ha Eun-jae can only be booked through its official website.

Check-in 4pm / Check-out 11am
We arrived around 5:00 PM, and as soon as we stepped in, soft piano music was already playing. It set the perfect mood, and before I even crossed the threshold, I knew this stay would be special.
From the moment I walked in, I felt warm and welcomed. The lighting beautifully highlighted the Hanok’s architecture.
The heated floors (ondol) made the space cozy and inviting.
The foot bath, placed right across from the sofa, allowed me to watch Netflix while soaking my feet, such a relaxing touch!
Bedroom
The Cotone brand linens were incredibly soft and luxurious. Thanks to the heated duvet, I had a perfect night’s sleep.
Although some reviews mentioned cold drafts from the windows, I didn’t feel any chill at all. The double-layered windows (one translucent door inside and one outside) helped keep the warmth in.
The kitchen, though compact, was well-equipped with pots, pans, and other cooking essentials. The dining area was right next to the kitchen, but for two people, the space felt a bit tight.
Still, the cute and functional kitchen had everything necessary for preparing simple meals.
For dinner, we ordered delivery from J.Alley and Salt House Deli:
J.Alley: Squid ink aranchini, Whole tomato ricotta salad, Chorizo aglio Olio
Salt house Deli: Sampler board
The next morning, I woke up at 7:00 am to soak in the peaceful atmosphere of the Hanok.
Unfortunately, the sky was overcast, and the predicted rain meant I couldn’t enjoy the morning sunlight streaming through the window. Still, the entire house smelled amazing thanks to the room spray, which added to the calming experience.
Thanks to Ha Eun-jae, I was able to take a day off from work and truly unwind in a peaceful, beautiful space. I’d love to return whenever I need a break from work and city life.
