Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery Ambassador (Deluxe River view, King bed)

To celebrate both my birthday and Christmas, I decided to enjoy a relaxing hotel staycation with a friend during the last week of the year.

It felt special to wrap up the year with a cozy getaway, and I was especially excited because it was my first time staying at a hotel with a Han River view.

My friends highly recommended this hotel, and I couldn't wait to experience it for myself. As we arrived, a beautifully decorated Christmas tree welcomed us, a lovely festive touch for the holiday season.

The hotel lobby is located on the 20th floor, and the moment the elevator doors opened, we were greeted by a stunning panoramic view of the Han River, a perfect introduction to what was to come.

At check-in, we were offered the option to wait about an hour for a room on a higher floor, but since we were eager to settle in, we chose to check in immediately and received Room 708.

Stepping into Room 708, the first thing that caught my eye was the breathtaking view of Bamseom Island and the Han River. I imagined how stunning it would look after sunset, and I wasn’t wrong.

The room wasn’t particularly large, but it felt cozy and comfortable, just the kind of atmosphere I wanted for a staycation.

Bathroom

The bathroom was well-equipped with luxurious amenities from Grown Alchemist. As someone who often forgets to pack toiletries (yes, I’m that lazy), I appreciated having everything provided, from shampoo to body wash.

I was thrilled to find bath salts included, especially since I had forgotten to bring my own.

Two types of charging cables are provided in a neat box on the desk, super convenient!

The king-size bed was incredibly spacious and roomy enough to stretch out comfortably. It was soft and inviting, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.

While soaking in the bath, I checked the time and realized the sun was setting. I rushed to the window hoping to catch the golden hour, but the sky had already turned dark. Still, I managed to glimpse a soft, pink hue, a fleeting but beautiful moment.

As the evening rolled in, hunger struck. Instead of dining out, we ordered Kimchijjim (steamed kimchi) for delivery.

Breakfast (Restaurant Voisin)

I had heard rave reviews about the hotel’s breakfast, so I booked a package with breakfast included and it did not disappoint!

The buffet restaurant was spacious, with every dish looking fresh and appetizing. Looking back, I regret not trying more, but what I did sample was delicious.

Despite a few minor regrets, I truly enjoyed this staycation. It felt special to celebrate my birthday and Christmas in such a relaxing and beautiful setting. From the pink sunset to cozy bath time and delicious breakfast, everything was memorable.

Next time, I’ll be sure to pack my swimwear and workout gear to take full advantage of the hotel’s amenities. But for this trip, sharing delicious food and good conversation with my friend made it a perfect end to the year.
