We considered several Novotel Ambassador locations in Seoul before ultimately choosing Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun.

The hotel is just a short walk from Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station (DDP), Exit 12, making it incredibly accessible.

Upon entering through the five-star entrance, we were welcomed by a charming Playmobil model, adding a playful touch to the lobby.

 

Lobby (1F)

The hotel and residence areas are on separate floors, so after being guided to the elevator, we were directed to the check-in desk on the 19th floor.

Check-in (19F)

We had booked an Executive Room via Agoda and were assigned a 19th-floor room.

Toothbrushes are available in the lobby for a small donation of KRW 1,000.

The room was spacious and more comfortable than expected, with a well-curated selection of fabrics and bedding.

 

Bathroom

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, and hand soap.

A touchscreen panel on the right side of the bed allowed us to conveniently request extra bottled water, towels, and other essentials.

For coffee lovers, the room was stocked with Nespresso coffee capsules and tea.

To use the indoor pool, we had to scan a QR code to make a reservation. Since the outdoor pool was closed for the season, the indoor pool was the only available option. Given that reservations were required, it was best to book as soon as possible after check-in.

Afternoon tea (12:00-16:00)

The lounge offered a wide selection of tea bags, pastries, drinks, juices, and fresh fruit.

 

Swimming pool (20F)

The 20th floor houses the reception area, bar, swimming pool, and gym.

 

Indoor swimming pool

The main pool features a waterfall in the center, creating a serene atmosphere. A separate jacuzzi is also available for those looking to unwind.

Happy hour (17:30~19:30)

We had high expectations for happy hour, but it was smaller than anticipated. The lounge offered beer, vodka, four varieties of wine, and a small cheese platter.

 

Fitness

 

Breakfast (07:00~10:00)

While I wasn’t able to experience the outdoor pool, I still enjoyed my time at the indoor pool. Although happy hour was a bit disappointing, the breakfast selection made up for it.

Overall, Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun is a solid choice for those looking for comfort, convenience, and a well-located stay in Seoul.
