If you're looking for a charming hanok stay near Gyeongbokgung Palace, I highly recommend Soyunjae by BUTLER.LEE in Seochon, Seoul.

Having stayed there myself, I can say it offers a cozy and comfortable experience in a traditional setting.

Upon passing through the iron gate, you'll arrive at the main entrance, which requires a password for access, offering both security and privacy.

The small backyard adds to the hanok's charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. 

 

Living room

Though the living room is compact, it’s perfectly adequate for two people to relax.

 

Kitchen

Adjacent to the living area, the kitchen is well-equipped for preparing simple meals. While I mostly dined out, I could see this space being ideal for a quick breakfast or a light snack.

 

Bathroom

A door next to the kitchen leads to the bathroom, where the shower, toilet, and sink are separated into individual spaces.

Beyond another door, a Jacuzzi awaits, making for the perfect place to unwind. Since I love soaking in warm water, I spent a blissful time here.

On the other side of the kitchen, another entrance leads to the bedroom.

The soft mattress provided a restful night's sleep, making my stay all the more enjoyable.

This was my first time staying in a hanok in Seoul, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. If you're looking for a blend of tradition, comfort, and relaxation, Soyunjae by BUTLER.LEE is a wonderful choice.
