A relaxing hotel staycation calls for a little preparation—grab some snacks and a bottle of wine before checking in to make the most of your stay. Luckily, Shinsegae Department Store, one of Seoul’s premier shopping destinations, is right next door. Be sure to stop by!

The moment you step into L’Escape Hotel, you’ll be captivated by its French-inspired interiors. The cherry blossom photo spot, which I had seen on Instagram, was beautifully set up in the 7th-floor lobby, a must for capturing the moment.

The deep red furnishings in the lobby exude sophistication, making you feel as if you’ve stepped into an opulent European mansion.

 

Exclusive Library for Guests

For those who love a quiet reading nook, the hotel features a private library exclusively for guests, a perfect spot to unwind with a book.

Breakfast is served at Palais de Chine on the 6th floor, and the floral staircase leading up to it is an absolute showstopper. If you're staying in a Suite Room, complimentary breakfast is included.

As soon as we entered, a breathtaking view of Namsan Tower greeted us. It felt like the perfect setting for a serene getaway.

The fluffy bedding and elegant decor made the bedroom feel straight out of a movie set. It was so comfortable that drifting off to sleep was effortless.

L’Escape pays close attention to even the smallest details from providing Dyson hair dryers to ensuring a well-stocked selection of hair care and bath products. Essential items like cotton swabs and toothbrushes were neatly organized in the drawers.

To enhance the experience, I picked up a Lush bath bomb from the department store next door and soaked in the gorgeous bathtub.

One of the perks of booking a suite is complimentary access to the hotel’s top-floor lounge for an hour.

 

Mark Damor Lounge Bar

Located on the 26th floor, the Mark Damor Lounge Bar offers an intimate space to enjoy drinks and light bites.

Perks for Suite Guests:

1 cocktail, 1 glass of sparkling wine per person, Appetizer platter (Jamon & nuts)

The cocktails crafted by world-class bartenders were truly exceptional, and while the complimentary selection was great, additional drinks could be ordered from the extensive menu. One hour at the lounge bar felt far too short!

Before leaving, I stopped by the Starbucks Reserve in the hotel’s lobby for a unique coffee experience. This location is home to a rare Starbucks Reserve machine, allowing guests to customize their coffee by selecting the bean origin, acidity, and body level.

L’Escape Hotel was an incredible experience, made even better by its proximity to Shinsegae Department Store and Starbucks Reserve. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway or simply want to indulge in Parisian charm without flying to France, I highly recommend L’Escape Hotel. It’s the perfect destination for a luxurious escape right in the heart of Seoul.
