Bongsanjib (main store)
An authentic eatery 'Bongsanjib', run by three generations of one family. Everything from the sign to the window displays has been kept the same for the past four decades.
There are perhaps seven or eight tables and a room behind the entryway.
Although there isn't any individual ventilation for the tables, the air isn't smokey or suffocating here. It seems to be because they keep opening and closing the door.
Menu
As more time has passed, the price has increased. It's not too pricey when compared to similar places.
Two Chagolbaegi (beef) were ordered and this style of serving cabbage in thick slices has become the restaurant's specialty.
Gochujang (red chili paste) and Garlic
The garlic was quite fresh. While many eateries serve garlic that has been dried at room temperature for an extended period, the quality of the ingredients at this establishment is good.
Green onion and pepper in a soy sauce base.
Pepper and sliced green onion. Perhaps extra of this is served in advance because so many people always ask for more.
2 servings of Chadolbaegi 44,000 won (260g)
Sliced Chadolbaegi that are both large and thin.
The freshness and thickness of Chagolbaegi are very important.
There is a corkage fee of 10,000 won per bottle. Only beer glasses are available.
With a good charcoal fire.
It's not completely thawed but put a few pieces on the grill.
You may also grill cabbage on the charcoal.
Ready to eat
It tastes best when the meat has the above appearance, overcooking ruins the flavor of Chadolbaegi.
Dip into soy sauce
try with some grilled cabbage together
Combining green onions is the greatest way to get the best flavor and crunchy texture.
Chadolmakjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew) 10,000 won (for two)
Adding a bowl of rice is recommended and Kimchi is the only option for Banchan (side dish).
This stew is made of cabbage and Chagolbaegi (beef), both thinly sliced, together with tofu and soybean paste. Place the pot over the charcoal grill.
It goes wonderfully with rice.
Perhaps the high quality of beef alone is not enough to make a restaurant famous. This chadolmakjang (soy paste stew) tastes wonderful if you eat it with kimchi.
