One of the perks of working in Cheongdam-dong is being surrounded by amazing food options, and Downtowner (Cheongdam, Seoul) is no exception. Known for its handcrafted gourmet burgers, this trendy spot has become a favorite for a quick yet indulgent meal.

Located in the heart of Cheongdam, Downtowner stands out with its black-and-blue decor, giving it a modern, hip vibe that’s a refreshing departure from the reds and yellows typically associated with burger joints.

The restaurant’s adorable black bear mascot adds a playful touch to the chic aesthetic, making it a fun yet stylish spot to dine with friends or coworkers.

We arrived at 12:30 pm, and despite its popularity, we were seated within 10 minutes, a surprisingly quick wait during peak lunch hours.

At 8,300 won for a cheeseburger, Downtowner’s prices are higher than your average burger joint, but the quality of the handcrafted patties and the location in Cheongdam make it worth it.

For extra 9,500 won, you can upgrade to a combo with chicken, fries, and soda, which I’ll definitely try on my next visit.

Gourmet burger with 100% beef patties

Avocado Burger  10,800 won

This is Downtowner’s signature burger, and it’s easy to see why. The patties are juicy and perfectly cooked with 100% beef. The creamy avocado and crispy bacon are a match made in heaven, with just the right pinch of pepper for added depth.

Every bite was packed with flavor, and the balance of ingredients made it one of the best gourmet burgers I’ve had.

Cheese Fries  5,800 won

Hot, melted cheddar cheese generously smothered over crispy fries, simple but incredibly satisfying. The cheese portion was abundant, ensuring every fry was coated.

Truffle Parmesan Fries  7,300 won

A standout dish! The combination of truffle and Parmesan cheese created a rich, aromatic flavor profile. Whether you love or hate truffle, this dish will leave an impression. For truffle enthusiasts, it’s a must-try.

Downtowner delivers on both style and substance. With its trendy atmosphere and mouthwatering artisan burgers, it’s a fantastic spot for a quick lunch or casual gathering.
