Gordon Ramsay Burger
Gordon Ramsay, the 3-Michelin-star chef, has opened Asia's first premium burger restaurant in Seoul.
An English native, Gordon Ramsey has earned three Michelin stars for his outstanding culinary creations and is widely recognized as a culinary master.
He reportedly established Asia's first high-end concept burger restaurant in Seoul's Lotte World Mall in Jamsil.
You can also make online reservations at <Gordon Ramsay Burger>, a burger restaurant run by the famous chef. The weeknights and weekends are their busiest times, so please check ahead to reserve a table.
It didn't feel like much of a wait even as a walk-in during the weekday lunch hours.
Menu
It's not just Gordon Ramsay's name that has made the <Gordon Ramsay Burger> famous; the burger's very expensive price has also contributed to its popularity.
The signature [1966 Burger] menu is priced at 140,000 won. I wanted to try, but I restrained myself from ordering one because I didn't want to spend so much on lunch.
Instead, I got the [Forest Burger] and [Hell's Kitchen], both of which are popular choices at standard burger prices. These burgers were also quite pricey, with a single burger costing more than 30,000 won.
Forest Burger 33,000 won
For the Forest Burger, they used Gruyère cheese, mushroom ragu, porcini mayonnaise, arugula, and eggs cooked sunny-side up.
The flavor was pleasant and light, reminding me of a homemade burger that's both nutritious and delicious. It had the flavor of a burger that could be had for breakfast.
Hell's Kitchen Burger 31,000 won
Hell's Kitchen, not Health Kitchen, was the name of the next burger I had. Gordon Ramsay's kitchen has a reputation for being a "Hell," and I believe that this title was inspired by the chef's fiery temperament.
Hell's Kitchen is a burger topped with roasted jalapeno, tomato, avocado, and jalapeno aioli. Since jalapenos offered a sour note and avocados added a creamy texture, I found myself very fond of this menu.
Just Fries 9,000 won
To put it simply, Just Fries consisted of nothing but french fries, in contrast to Truffle Parmesan Fries. While the fries themselves were hot and tasty, the portion was far smaller than anticipated because the bottom of the bowl was covered.
Shake 11,000 won
I also got the Banana Shake and the Mango & Coconut with Chia Seed. The Banana shake, as expected, was delicious, but the [Manco & Coconut with Chia Seed] was too sour for my taste.
Conclusion
At the Seoul Sky entrance on the B1 level of Lotte World Mall is the burger specialty restaurant Gordon Ramsay Burger.
Burgers cost about 30,000 won each, with the signature burger going for 140,000 won. There was no meal deal available, thus extras like fries and drinks had to be ordered independently.
Despite the exorbitant cost, the quality of the food was excellent. The next time I go out to eat, I'm definitely going to try [1966 Burger].
