Nokdong Bbeol Nakji

Once again, this restaurant was introduced on famous singer Seong Si-kyung's YouTube channel.

We guarantee you won't find octopus Tangtang-i like this anywhere else. They cut the octopus very finely so that the shape of the octopus cannot be recognized.

I thought there could be a long line because I went on a weekend, but there were at least two or three seats available.

The wall was covered with autographs, including one from Sung Si-kyung.

I started with the Tangtang-i and then added the Yeonpo-tang. It's quite pricey.

San-nakji (live octopus)  25,000 won

Don't confuse a live octopus (San-nakji) with a Tangtang-i; they're very different.

We asked for Tangtang-i, but were instead served San-nakji (live octopus). When we first saw the live octopus, we thought it was just another side dish.

There could be misunderstandings in the communication, so be sure to double-check. The wrong order of San-nakji had to be sent back and replaced with Tangtang-i.

Tangtang-i   45,000 won

Yes, this is what I expected. Octopus Tangtang-i was served and as Tangtang-i came out, more side dishes were added.

Seaweed, minced garlic, Cheongyang pepper, pickled radish, egg yolk, etc.

A spoonful of tangtangi mixed with an egg yolk gives a truly special taste. Very flavorful and delicious.

Finely chopped pickled radish with garlic and cheongyang-pepper in roasted seaweed. The combination of pickled radish and Tangtang-i was fantastic.

Minced garlic, however, is probably the most important ingredient. Seriously, it's mouthwatering.

Yeonpo-tang  45,000 won

You should order the Yeonpo-tang if you finish more than half of the Tangtang-i.

The Yeonpo-tang with clear soup arrives, and the staff takes out two live octopuses and drops them right there.

Whenever we eat this delicious Yeonpo-tang, we can't help but feel the urge to drink Soju.

Kalguksu noodles were added. They served thin kalguksu noodles which are my favorite.

When compared to thicker noodles, I prefer the texture and flavor of these thinner ones.

Conclusion

Somewhere we can tell the food was prepared with care and quality ingredients. Tangtang-i was great, and Yeonpo-tang was much better, however, the price range is a bit high.

A fantastic spot for both dining and drinking.
