Oegojip Seolleongtang
After returning to Seoul from a trip, I quickly headed to Oegojip Seolleongtang in Samseong-dong, Seoul. Although I’ve written about this restaurant in past posts, I still haven’t found a Seolleongtang place that surpasses this one in quality.
There were plenty of seats available, and when I asked for Suyuk, they brought over a gas stove to prepare it.
Menu
Suyuk (boiled beef) 50,000 won (medium)
The Suyuk, made up of a variety of chewy bits, is even more appetizing than just lean meat.
Yukgaejang (Korean spicy beef soup) 15,000 won
Instead of having it for myself, I added Yukgaejang to make up for my friend's light dinner. I remember that the flavor of sesame oil was quite strong in the dish.
The previous visit
Seolleongtang (special) 20,000 won
My usual preference is Seolleongtang (special), which contains more beef. Along with it, I also ordered soju, a traditional Korean liquor.
The Seolleongtang (regular) also has a rich, deep flavor that makes it well worth the price.
Many people will continue to visit, as it was reportedly selected for the Michelin Guide Seoul 2022 and the Blue Ribbon Survey of Seoul's Famous Restaurants 2022.
