Yeongdong Jang-eo (grilled eel)
We all get there together after work, so I'm not sure if parking is available.
It took us an hour to get there from Yeouido. Gangnam's evening traffic is horrendous.
Room
The table was already set when we arrived.
As soon as we sat down, the staff brought out a fried eel bone. Very crispy…
Check out the adorable eel print on this plate.
Dokdo-Shrimp 150,000 won
This was my first time trying Dokdo-Shrimp, but if I had known it would taste this amazing, I would have tried it much sooner!
Homemade Bokbunja (Korean raspberry wine) in a ceramic kettle
Extremely tasty and flavorful, compared to standard bokbunja.
Hwayo Soju
Yukhoe and Wooni 192,000 won
After finishing the shrimp, Yukhoe and Wooni were served. It was also really tasty.
Eel 82,000 won
There was a gigantic eel there. It's too large.
After being trimmed in the kitchen, the eel was ready for the grill.
This is the largest eel I've ever seen; it makes me wonder what kind of eel I have eaten so far.
Eel bile
Some people take this eel bile by mixing it with Soju, which is why it comes in a syringe. There is a belief that the soju made from eel bile is healthy.
And the foods that continue
The seasoned crab in particular was fantastic. The dish of rice mixed with seasoned crab that was served together was also great.
All the dishes were so delicious. It would have been even more fantastic if it was close to my house...
