Point of View (seongsu)

Lately, I’ve been exploring different neighborhoods in Seoul, and today, I’m sharing my experience at Point of View, a specialty stationery shop located in Seongsu.

Although Point of View now has multiple locations, the Seongsu branch is still the best one for browsing and discovering unique finds. This three-story stationery store offers a curated selection of items, from everyday essentials to high-end collectibles. Let’s dive in!

Since I visited on a Saturday, there was a slight wait, and due to the crowd, we were guided to start from the third floor.

The third floor wasn’t a shopping area, it felt more like a museum. Every item was displayed with such care and attention to detail that I couldn’t help but admire them.

Some of the pieces looked like true works of art. Many items were priced well over 100,000 won.

One of the most fascinating finds was a set of luxury incense matches. They were so beautifully crafted that I couldn’t imagine actually lighting them.

No wonder the third floor smelled so divine, there were high-end incense, diffusers, and perfumes displayed all around.

The pricier pieces were kept inside glass display cases, reinforcing the impression that this was more of a curated exhibition than a store.

The second floor housed a wide range of diaries, postcards, and pens, all highly practical yet stylish. The prices here were still on the higher side, but much more accessible compared to the third floor.

This floor had a cozy, studio-like atmosphere, with warm wooden tones and soft lighting that made it incredibly photogenic. Every corner was picture-perfect.

I spent a good amount of time admiring their beautiful postcards, some were adorable, while others had an elegant, artistic flair. It is a great place to pick up something that suits your style.

There was also a small memo station, where visitors could leave handwritten notes. I took a moment to read what others had written, and some of them were surprisingly funny!

One item that caught my attention was a solid perfume diffuser. The scent was absolutely amazing, and the design was so aesthetic that I couldn’t stop debating whether to buy it. In the end, I didn’t but I regretted it so much afterward that I’m already planning a return trip just for that.

The first floor was the busiest area, filled with more budget-friendly stationery and a lively shopping atmosphere.

This floor was also divided into different sections, including an independent bookstore. Since I love browsing books, I took my time flipping through a few titles to see what they had in stock.

One thing I’ve noticed lately is the increasing number of products featuring a certain illustrated cat. It’s a character named Mo, and seeing it in book form made it even more adorable!

There were also canvas bags and pouches with charming designs, though, unfortunately, the prices weren’t as charming.

Finally, it was time to shop! I picked out some pens, my friends bought planners, and we even got a sticky note board to help keep things organized.

I couldn’t get over how cute even the erasers and pens were.

Before leaving, I picked up a greeting card, which was beautifully packaged. The store staff wrapped everything so nicely.

Even the paper packaging was too pretty to tear open right away, I left it sitting on my desk for a while, just admiring it.

Every visit to Point of View is a delight, and I highly recommend stopping by if you’re ever in Seongsu, Seoul. Whether you’re looking for practical stationery or just want to admire beautifully designed pieces, this shop has something for everyone.
