A perfect guide to using luggage storage (lockers) when visiting Hongdae, Yeonnam-dong, and Yeonhui-dong in Seoul.

Hongik University Station is a major hub connecting Subway Line 2 (green line), the Airport Express train (AREX), and the Gyeongui-Jungang Line. 

The lockers near Exits 3 and 4 are especially convenient as they are close to all lines and have plenty of space for your belongings.

 

Location

The lockers are located along the path leading to Exits 3 and 4 of Subway Line 2. (Locker Numbers: 114~143)

If you're traveling on Line 2, these lockers are especially convenient. They're also a great option if you're arriving directly from Seoul Station, Incheon Airport, or Gimpo Airport.

After getting off the subway, pass through the ticket gates and head toward Exits 3 and 4. You’ll find the lockers on your left-hand side.

For Airport Express (AREX) and Gyeongui-Jungang Line users :
Don’t go straight out to Exits 3 and 4. Instead, follow the signs toward Line 2 (green line) to find these lockers.

 

Operating Hours (Daily: 5:00 AM – 12:00 AM)

The lockers are unavailable between midnight and 5:00 AM, so you won’t be able to store or retrieve items during this time.

 

 

Rates for the first 4 hours

The rates depend on their size and whether it’s a weekday or weekend.

 

Weekday Rates (first 4 hours)

• Small: 2,200 KRW / Additional 1 hour: 500 KRW
• Medium: 3,300 KRW / Additional 1 hour: 800 KRW
• Large: 4,400 KRW / Additional 1 hour: 1,000 KRW

 

Weekend Rates (first 4 hours)

• Small: 3,100 KRW / Additional 1 hour: 500 KRW
• Medium: 4,600 KRW / Additional 1 hour: 800 KRW
• Large: 6,100 KRW / Additional 1 hour: 1,000 KRW

After the first 4 hours, an hourly fee is charged based on the locker size. You can store items for up to 5 days; after they’ll be moved to a storage facility (additional fees).

 

How to Use

Using the lockers is easy, but it does require the T Locker App.

 

• Download the T locker app from app store or google play store.
  
• Scan the QR code on the locker or enter the location code.
• Choose a locker, complete the payment, and receive your OTP.
• Enter the OTP on the locker keypad to store your belongings.

Additional Information

- Lockers are only available from 5 am to 12 am, so make sure to pick up your items before closing time.

- A staffed storage facility is also available between Exits 2 and 3. It has shorter operating hours than others, but it can be a great alternative if the lockers are all occupied.

- If Lockers 114 to 143 are full, keep walking along the same path toward Line 2, and you’ll find another set of lockers (Numbers 66 to 113).
