Andok (seochon)

Tucked away in Seochon, Andok (Seochon, Seoul) is a well-loved restaurant renowned for its delicious dumpling soup. Known for its cozy atmosphere and authentic flavors, this eatery has gained even more attention after being featured on Kim Na-Young's YouTube channel.
We arrived at Andok around noon on a weekday, and while there was no line outside, the restaurant was bustling with diners inside. As a fan of dumpling soup, my expectations were high, and Andok did not disappoint.
Side dish
Radish salad and Macaroni salad (mayonnaise).
Gochu Twigim (Korean stuffed pepper) 19,000 won

These chili fries were a standout dish. The peppers were stuffed with meat, making them incredibly juicy, and the thin, crispy batter added a delightful crunch. This was, without a doubt, one of the best versions of Gochu Twigim I’ve ever had.
Mandu-guk (dumpling soup) 15,000 won

On a chilly, windy day, the hot soup was exactly what I needed. The broth had a clean, well-balanced flavor with just the right amount of saltiness, not overpowering, but far from bland.
The soup was filled with kimchi dumplings, which were generously sized and packed with flavorful filling. Though the serving might initially seem modest, the hearty dumplings made it incredibly satisfying.

Andok left a lasting impression, and I can confidently say I’ll be back whenever I visit Seochon. This spot serves some of the most comforting and authentic Korean cuisine, making it perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a warm and hearty meal.
I’m already planning to bring my parents here on my next visit. I’m sure they’ll love it as much as I did.
