Archivist Cafe
Archivist Cafe is located about 900 meters away from Gyeongbokgung Station, I took a taxi there. Even on weekdays, there are sometimes lines. So, I signed up for the waiting list and got in about 40 minutes later.
There's a lot to see in this area, so I passed the time at the neighboring Edition Denmark store while I waited.
I saw that they sold sandwiches and brunch menus on Instagram, but I couldn't see a written menu anywhere in the store, so I can't say for sure if they still do.
The majority of the baked goods had already been purchased, but a few scones, financiers, cookies, and cakes remained.

The internal lighting, which consisted of several different kinds of bulbs, went beautifully with the dark green walls.
Archivist Cafe has been a hit with locals since it opened in September 2018.
Archivist Einspanner 6,000 won
The Archivist Einspanner, one of their signature drinks, was my pick. The whipped topping was fairly thick and stable.
Try this cream with some pound cake or a financier and you'll understand what I mean.
While the cup is small, the coffee and cream complement each other beautifully.
I thought I was getting a typical butter scone, but it turned out to be more drier than I expected.
The Archivist is always busy even on a weekday, so if you plan on going on the weekend, be prepared to wait a while.
