Kokkili Bagel (seongu-dong)
For bagels, this is one of my favorite places in town. The Kokkili (elephant) Bagel is, without a doubt, Seoul's best bagel spot.
The third branch, which is in Seongsu-dong, is as wonderful as the other two I visited. You can reach Kokkili Bagel from Seongsu Station's Exit 2 by following the Onion Cafe and then turning right at the Glow Cafe.
In spring, you can enjoy your bagel while sitting in the spacious outside area.
The Seongsu-dong store is massive. In comparison to the other two shops, this one is the most roomy and welcoming.
Bagels can be ordered from the left. To the right is where you may place your drink order.
They also have beers. So, pair your bagel sandwiches with one of their many bottled or craft beers.
Enjoy a somewhat distinct vibe on either the ground or second floor, depending on your preference.
Bagels
Although I enjoy both plain and walnut-cranberry bagels, my favorite is the delicious red bean paste variety. The flavor of the delicious red beans comes through very strongly.
This looks like a nice spot to enjoy a sunny afternoon.
Mix and match ingredients like spinach, basil, walnut-cranberry, truffle cheese, etc. Numerous varieties exist. You have probably never had such a tasty and soft bagel before.
The Kokkili Bagel's unique whipped cream bagel is a local favorite. You should definitely try the whipped cream that fills the fluffy bagel. It pairs nicely with a frothy Latte.
2nd Floor
Relax on the sofa while taking the view outside. The distances between the tables are generous, and it's a lot of fun to discover the various atmospheres that each section offers.
Plain Bagel 2.500 won
The freshly baked, extremely chewy plain bagel has an outstanding flavor. If you're looking for a good bagel, look no further than Kokkili Bagel.
I had been unsuccessful in my previous attempts to get plain bagels, but now, at the third store here, I was able to purchase five of them! It was about 10:30 a.m. when I stopped by.
The bagel, when sliced, was extremely dense and chewy. Maybe the fermentation is the secret of its enhanced flavor and aroma.
Cafe Latte 4.500 won
A rich and foamy café latte. Even though I forgot my Tumbler, it was still excellent. Enjoying a latte with a warm, freshly baked bagel was wonderful. The latte here exceeds the quality of any coffee establishment, so do not miss it.
Redbean Paste Bagel 4.000 won
The red beans contained within were not overly sugary which I liked. If you like red beans, this is the best red bean paste bread you'll ever eat.
Incredible amounts of red bean paste are used. I am, in fact, really serious about sweet red beans.
You have to try this if you're a fan of sweet red beans.
Keep your visit to Kokkili Bagel short. Or you'll end up spending way more than you planned like I did.
