A Weekend Coffee Break at Milestone (Hannam, Seoul) 

Since weekends tend to be busy, we decided to head there early for a cup of coffee. When we arrived around noon, the café was already bustling with customers. The space wasn’t particularly large, with around ten tables available for seating.

Despite its modest size, Milestone Coffee has a surprisingly large staff to keep up with the high volume of takeaway orders.

For those who want to dine in, there’s a waiting list inside the café where you need to write down your name and the number of people in your party.

In many crowded cafés, customers often have to grab whatever seat they can find, but Milestone keeps things organized with a waitlist system

Since the café was already packed, a staff member advised us to wait outside until our name was called. There’s a terrace area available for those who prefer to sit while waiting, but the weather was too hot that day, so we chose to wait indoors. Thankfully, we only had to wait about 10 minutes before being seated.

Inside, shelves were lined with Milestone’s signature coffee beans and other products, making it tempting to take something home.

 

Tiramisu  7,500 won

Milestone’s authentic Mascarpone Tiramisu was delightful. The cream-to-genoise ratio was a perfect 1:1, just the way I like it. Many tiramisus tend to have a greasy aftertaste, but this one was light and well-balanced.

 

Vienna Coffee  6,000 won

My friend ordered a Vienna Coffee, and we were told that it tasted just like the real thing you’d find in Vienna. The combination of rich coffee and smooth cream was absolutely delicious.

 

Almond latte  6,000 won

This was my pick! It had a wonderful balance of sweetness and nuttiness. When served, the layers were distinctly separated, but after stirring it well with the included straw, the flavors blended beautifully.

Overall, I finally understand why Milestone Coffee is so popular. The coffee was amazing, and the tiramisu was just as delightful. Now that I’ve tried it, I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
