MTL (Hannam, Seoul) is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from Hangangjin Station and near the Leeum Museum of Art. If you're driving, there's free parking right next to the building, and valet service is also available.

On weekends, open-deck DJ sets fill the space with a mix of musical genres, creating an energetic and vibrant atmosphere. Naturally, the weekends here are always bustling with people.

Even though I took this photo near closing time, MTL Hannam is typically packed on weekends. The café also collaborates with various brands to host pop-up events, adding to its trendy and dynamic vibe.

While waiting for our order, we browsed the shop inside MTL, which offers a wide range of products, including books, caps, socks, t-shirts, mugs, and LAS DAMAS perfumes. It was fun to explore the carefully curated selection of items.

We decided to try their classic Bonanza coffee blend, ordering an Americano along with their famous Marble Red Velvet Cake.

At the time, several varieties of Crumble were also on display, but they sold out quickly. I’ll have to make sure to try one on my next visit!

Bonanza Coffee is a well-known specialty coffee brand from Berlin, and MTL Café is its exclusive distributor in Seoul. They also sell Bonanza coffee beans separately for those who want to take some home.

Marble Red Velvet   4,800 won

This cake is one of MTL’s signature menu items, and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The chewy texture combined with a rich, not overly sweet flavor made it an absolute delight. If you love red velvet cake, you won’t be disappointed!

Bonanza Coffee, one of Europe’s fastest-growing specialty coffee brands, originally started in Berlin. However, you don’t have to fly to Germany to experience it. There are now several locations in Korea, including Hannam-dong, Hyochang-dong, and Dongtan City.
