MTL Hannam is a five-minute walk from Hangangjin Station and close to the Leeum Museum of Art. Parking is free right next to the building, and valet service is also available.

Open-deck DJ sets are played on the weekend so that guests can enjoy a wide range of musical genres. As a result, the weekend is constantly bustling with people.

​Even though this photo was taken almost at the end of closing, weekends at MTL Hannam are typically very busy. In addition, they also host pop-up events in collaboration with unique brands.

It was entertaining to peruse the shop after placing an order, as it sold a wide variety of items, including books, caps, socks, t-shirts, mugs, and LAS DAMAS perfumes.

 

Menu

We wanted to try their classic Bonanza coffee blend, so we placed an order for an Americano and one of their famous Marble Red Velvet Cakes.

Several varieties of Crumble were on display when this shot was taken, but they have since been sold out. On my next visit, I will try the Crumble.

Bonanza Coffee is a Berlin-based specialty coffee brand, and MTL Cafe is the exclusive distributor for the brand in the city. Coffee beans were also available for purchase independently.

 

Marble Red Velvet   4,800 won

It was described as a signature menu. I enjoyed the chewy texture and the rich flavor that was not overly sweet. If red velvet cake is your thing, you won't be disappointed.

Established in Berlin, Germany, Bonanza Coffee is one of Europe's quickest-expanding specialty coffee brands.

However, there are various locations in Korea (Hannam-dong, Hyochang-dong, and Dongtan City) where one can get a taste of the product without having to book a flight to Germany.
