Terarosa (Cheonggye store)

Terarosa (Cheonggye store)

After a long weekend, I picked the Gwanghwamun area (city center) on Sunday because I didn't think there would be many people there and I wanted to take it easy. A lot of other people thought the same thing, though, so it was busier than any other weekend.

Terarosa (Cheonggye Plaza location), a short distance from Cheonggyecheon, is the cafe I stopped by today. You can see it from Gwanghwamun Station; it's in a building across the street from two intersections.

Inside, you'll find most of the tables, while two are located outside and offer a view of Cheonggyecheon. No need to worry about a lack of tables because there are enough. One issue, though, is that the tables are too close together.

Bookshelves, a defining feature of Terarosa's interior design, may be found on the left side of the main entry, while merchandise and coffee beans can be found on the right.

With a coffee bar at its center, this resembles Terarosa at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. Designed a space where you can sit back and observe the brewing process.

The coffee rates range from 5,300 won to 7,000 won, much like at other branches. You can get the same kind of coffee beans at any of the locations.

Unless you go during the week, you'll constantly see a lot of people because the coffee is both reasonably priced and tastes great.

Today I also got my usual latte and Kouign-Amann (pastry) from Terarosa, because that's what I usually drink there. The nutty flavor and lack of milkiness in Terarosa Latte create a harmonious blend. It pairs wonderfully with sugary desserts.

Even though I couldn't have a peaceful day due to the crowds, I did cap off my Sunday with a cup of wonderful coffee. If you're looking for peace and quiet, I suggest trying another location of Terarosa; I'd love to return when it's less busy.

Sadly, parking fees are not supported, however, you are welcome to park in the building where Terarosa is located. Parking here is convenient for those going to or from Gwanghwamun Station, regardless of whether you are visiting Terarosa or not.
