Lotte Hotel Seoul (Superior Twin Room)
During the Lunar New Year holiday, I stayed at Lotte Hotel Seoul, and here’s my review of the experience. I booked a family staycation two months in advance using the Lotte Hotel app.
We drove to the hotel, which has a separate entrance on the ground level but shares an underground parking lot with the adjacent Lotte Department Store. The hotel's parking area was much more convenient to access compared to the department store’s.
Lobby
Upon arrival, I headed to the lobby, which had a classic and welcoming atmosphere. Since I had booked two rooms, mobile check-in wasn’t available. However, if you book just one room through the app, you can check in via mobile as early as 9:00 am on the day of arrival.

We were assigned the 21st floor, the corridor was simple yet elegant, setting a refined tone for our stay.
Superior Twin Room
Our two rooms were next to each other, making it convenient for a family trip. The layout felt a bit tight, especially the space between the bed and the couch, but overall, the room was comfortable.
Room conveniences
Bathroom
The bathroom had a dated but classic charm, with everything provided except for a toothbrush and toothpaste.
One of the highlights of the room was the stunning view of Namsan Tower. With the clear sky, the scenery looked even more beautiful.
Nampa Go-taek
After settling in, we went to Nampa Go-taek on the 13th floor of Lotte Department Store for dinner. The hotel's direct connection to the department store’s basement food court made getting around incredibly easy.
Myeongdong Cathedral
After dinner, I took a short walk to Myeongdong Cathedral, enjoying the festive atmosphere of the holiday.
Back in my room, I took in the night view of Namsan Tower, which was just as breathtaking as it was during the day.
I woke up early at 7:30 am, knowing that the breakfast spot would get crowded by 8:00 am.
La Seine (breakfast)
When I arrived at La Seine on the ground floor, it wasn’t too packed. Since it was Lunar New Year, they served traditional rice cake soup in addition to their usual Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Western, and dessert options.
Lotte Hotel Seoul is ideally located in the heart of Myeongdong, with easy access via car, metro, and bus. The direct connection to the department store adds great convenience. The rooms were comfortable, the staff was kind, and the breakfast was satisfying.
I had a wonderful stay, and I hope to return soon!
