On our way to the theater, my friend and I stopped for lunch at the Daedo Sikdang (main location). My last visit to Daedo Sikdang was quite some time ago.

There are two buildings at the main branch of Daedo Sikdang. We were guided to the east building.

​This restaurant has been selected as a future heritage site in Seoul. We walked in with great excitement.

Possibly due to the recent renovations, the atmosphere is more reminiscent of a high-end Korean restaurant than a barbecue joint.

 

Side dish

 

 

Hanwoo Deungsim (sirloin)  46,000 won (per serving)

Four portions weren't nearly enough, so we placed an additional order for two more.

Everything about the meat was tender and flavorful. No matter how you prepare it, beef barbecue is always delicious.

 

Kkakdugi Bokkeumbab (kimchi fried rice) 5,000 won (per serving)

At last, we ordered three servings of kkakdugi fried rice. You have to try this, even if you don't know this because it tastes so good.

I love this place. I guess this is why the restaurant stays open for so long. An authentic old restaurant.

Even though I've been to the Daedo Sikdang near Samseong Station several times, I've never been to this main location before. It's just as tasty as I expected.
