Jinmi Pyeongyang Naengmyeon is a restaurant that was chosen by Michelin for several years. Both the main and annex buildings serve meals, however, by the time we got there at 6:30 pm, the main building was completely full. We were led to the annex, which was similarly crowded with diners.

I went with four friends, and after seeing so many people, I was already looking forward to the food.

Pyongyang Naengmyeon  15,000 won

Just a few years ago, I was captivated by Pyongyang Naengmyeon. This eatery is just as tasty as Eulmildae, my favorite naengmyeon restaurant.

Even though it's a light broth, the meaty flavor jumps out at you. It's flavorful and not bland at all! Obviously, there's no better time to eat cold noodles than in the winter.

Mandu (dumpling)  7,500 won (1/2)

If you order half-size, you get 3 dumplings. Because we thought it would be too much, we only ordered half. If I had known it would be this way, I would have ordered a whole plate with six pieces.

Chewy and quite tasty. Next time, I will definitely be ordering six pieces!

Jeyuk  16,000 won (1/2)

Everyone around me has recommended this Jeyuk. Excellent balance of fat and meat. It's incredibly tasty and incredibly tender.

 

Eobog-jaengban (boiled meat slices hot pot)  60,000 won (small size)

Even though it's a small size, the food is a lot. You can add broth and vegetables for free! The vegetable and thinly sliced beef add a rich and delightful flavor to the soup as it boils.

Although I'm not sure if it gained more popularity after Seong Si-kyung and Kang Min-kyung posted videos on YouTube, this location has long been well-known. Even though the prices seem high, it makes sense when you see how much food is served.

Eobog-jaengban (boiled meat slices hot pot), is a dish I've never had before, but it tastes amazing. With wonderful company, it was even more enjoyable. It seems like a good idea to bring your parents along as well.

I was really pleased and had a great dinner, as one would expect from a Michelin-selected restaurant.
