Jinmi Pyeongyang Naengmyeon
Jinmi Pyeongyang Naengmyeon (Cheongdam, Seoul) is a Michelin-recognized restaurant that has drawn attention for its excellent food for several years.
The restaurant operates in both a main building and an annex, but by the time we arrived at 6:30 pm, the main building was already full. Thankfully, we were seated in the bustling annex, which was just as lively and promising.
I visited with four friends, and the crowd alone heightened my anticipation for the meal.

Pyongyang Naengmyeon 15,000 won
A few years ago, I became fascinated by Pyeongyang Naengmyeon, and Jinmi does not disappoint. It is easily comparable to Eulmildae, my all-time favorite naengmyeon spot.
The broth is light but packed with a meaty depth of flavor. It’s far from bland, every sip is delicate yet rich. Cold noodles may seem like a summer dish, but there’s something uniquely satisfying about eating them during the winter.
Mandu (dumpling) 7,500 won (half portion)
We opted for the half-size portion, which came with three dumplings. Initially, we thought a full portion might be too much, but after tasting these chewy, flavorful dumplings, we regretted not ordering the full plate of six! Next time, I’m definitely going all in.
Jeyuk 16,000 won (half portion)
This dish came highly recommended by everyone I know, and it lived up to the hype. The pork had a perfect balance of fat and meat, making it both tender and flavorful. It’s a dish I’d happily order again.
Eobog-jaengban (boiled meat slices hot pot) 60,000 won (small size)
Even the small size of this dish is incredibly generous. What’s more, you can request additional broth and vegetables at no extra cost!
The thinly sliced beef and vegetables infuse the broth with a rich, hearty flavor as it simmers. This was my first time trying Eobog-Jaengban, and I was thoroughly impressed. The dish is both comforting and luxurious, a perfect choice for a group dinner.
This dish has likely gained even more popularity thanks to YouTube features by celebrities like Seong Si-kyung and Kang Min-kyung. While the price might seem steep at first glance, the quality and quantity of food make it well worth it. It’s also an excellent dish to share with family, especially parents.
Jinmi Pyeongyang Naengmyeon delivered a dining experience that truly lived up to its Michelin status. Each dish showcased an incredible depth of flavor and quality, leaving me and my friends thoroughly satisfied.
