Daelyeonjib
This well-known restaurant has been serving Bossam and Kalguksu for over 60 years.
Dalyeonjip (Cheonggyecheon, Seoul) is so popular that you might have to wait if you arrive in the evening.
Menu
Bossam (boiled pork) 18,000 won (small)
Bossam is a traditional Korean dish made with boiled pork, typically enjoyed with kimchi or cabbage. The version here was truly delicious and flavorful. I could easily understand why they've been running this eatery for over 60 years.
Pajeon 12,000 won
Another famous and beloved dish here, popular with locals, is Pajeon. It’s a flour-based pancake-like dish with green onions and seafood.
Sagol Kalguksu 8,000 won
The highlight is this Kalgulsu, a rich broth made from beef bones, poured over noodles, and topped with beef, pumpkin, carrots, and slices of egg.
Side dish
A complementary side dish that pairs well with bossam is this Musaengche. It’s similar to kimchi, but it’s made with sliced radishes instead of cabbage.
