Godosik (Jamsil store)
I went to Godosik, a well-known barbecue joint in Jamsil (songpa) district. Whenever I pass by Songnidan-gil, I always could see people lining up outside this restaurant.
As soon as the break ended, people began to form lines. Just like everyone else, we hopped in line. Among Jamsil locals, this place appears to serve one of the best Korean barbecues.
Located on Songnidan-gil, Godosik has been collecting blue ribbons year after year since 2019. Also, it appears that Songnidan-gil, which is home to numerous excellent eateries, is a favorite among daters.
You won't get friendlier service anywhere else. They grill all the meat while providing helpful menu explanations and quickly responding to any small requests.
Side dish, meat dipping sauce, and wasabi. Some salt with pufferfish flavor that I've never seen!!!
Menu
We placed an order for the house specialty Aldeungsim (pork), yangbaeg-chadolgui (beef brisket), Yukhoe (raw beef), and Naengmyeon (buckwheat cold noodles).
Sundubu Jjigae
The free tofu stew was so good that they had to add it to the menu. This mildly spicy appetizer is perfect for piquing your appetite before diving into the barbecue; it features a blend of soft tofu, egg, and soft pork.
Aldeungsim 17,000 won x 2ea
It seems as though every single table had this Aldeungsim.
The Aldeungsim was very good because it was a cut that allowed you to taste various parts of pork such as ribs, sirloin, pork belly, and back ribs all at once!!
The meat is quite thick. That day, I really wanted to eat Samgyeolsal, and I got what I wanted here. Grilling it in a cast-iron pan with some green onions brings out its greatest flavor.
The whole thing was grilled by the staff and then sliced into bite-sized pieces!
From the sirloin to the pork belly, every cut tasted superb.
The flavorful combination of wasabi, pufferfish salt, fish soy sauce, green onions, and seasoned bean sprouts.
Herring roe + Yukhoe 17,000 won
This menu paired wonderfully with the Pork barbecue. Instead of the typical rump beef, this yukhoe comes with chewy beef rib cut chopped!
The meat is of the best quality, and it's the highest grade of Korean beef. A mouthwatering combination of raw meat and salty herring roe!
Mix the egg yolk and herring roe together. Due to its delicious saltiness and satisfying chewiness, I couldn't stop eating.
Naengmyeon 6,000 won
The sour seasoning was a perfect complement to the Naengmyeon's abundance of meat toppings. The meat was chopped into large chunks, making it a perfect match for the noodles.
Seeing all that delicious food on the table brings a smile to my face.
Yangbaek Hanwoo Chadol 19,000 won
Just take a look at that beautiful marbling.

The marbled meat was juicy and flavorful, and it chewed wonderfully.
Without a doubt, this is the top spot in the Jamsil area for BBQ. Please order the Aldeungsim if this is your first visit.
