Mils
Opened in December 2023, Mills (Seongsu, Seoul) is a delightful spot close to Ttukseom Hangang Park. Despite its location in a quieter part of Seoul, this eatery stands out for its sausage buns and cozy, rustic atmosphere.
As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm, welcoming ambiance, with a fire burning nearby and firewood trees adding to the charming vibe. The atmosphere immediately makes you feel like something delicious is being prepared right in front of you.
Beverage Menu
Bratwurst Sausage Bun 5,500 won
The Bratwurst Sausage Bun is a must-try. The bun features sourdough bread, lightly grilled homemade bratwurst sausages, and a layer of cabbage. The sourdough bread is wonderfully nutritious, with a rich taste and slight acidity, making it a perfect match for the savory sausage. What stands out is that it doesn’t have the overpowering herb or spice flavor that some sausages do, making it a delight for those who prefer a subtler taste.
Interestingly, the sourdough bread is available for purchase online, made without commercial yeast or chemical additives. The ingredients are simple but high-quality: organic wheat flour, water, salt, and levain.
Mint Mojito Coffee (iced only) 6,500 won
For a refreshing drink, try the Mint Mojito Coffee. It’s an iced beverage that combines cold mint, a sweet milk base, espresso, and a layer of milk foam, topped with some apple mint. It's a unique and refreshing twist on your regular iced coffee.
Leak Soup & Sourdough Bread 9,000 won
On the day of the visit, the focaccia that typically accompanies the stew was sold out, so the Leek Soup was ordered instead. The soup is made by simmering leeks and potatoes in a thick, hearty broth, providing a comforting dish that pairs perfectly with the tangy sourdough bread.
Sausage platter
The sausage platter came with two varieties of mustard sauce and was playfully shaped like a smiley face. A fun presentation that adds a touch of whimsy to the meal.
After enjoying all the delicious items, I realized that I’ll need to return a few more times to fully explore the rest of the menu. Mills offers a variety of mouthwatering options that are definitely worth trying.
