Modern Shabu House (Jamsil branch)
All-you-can-eat shabu-shabu restaurant
Modern Shabu House Jamsil is right next to the Sofitel. It's on the second floor of the KT building, making it the ideal place to walk around Seokchon Lake after dining. There are a few parking spots available on B3 and B4, but not many. Parking is free for two hours, but remember to sign up at the store.
You can reserve a room at Modern Shabu House Jamsil for an additional 50,000 won.
Let’s go inside.
A very contemporary Shabu-shabu restaurant. The atmosphere and service of "Modern Shabu House" (Jamsil branch) make it a perfect spot to visit with family.
Window seat
The window seat, in my opinion, would be ideal if you are coming with four people. We could enjoy our supper with nice sunshine.
Menu
Modern Shabu House is a course meal restaurant. The signature course was our choice.
We had a choice of two different broths because we had two tables. #08 premium sukiyaki broth with #01 mushroom broth.
Depending on the broth you select, the plates and entrees change. Salads, meats, and beverages are all-you-can-eat at Modern Shabu House.
Order with iPad
After selecting a menu, you can use the iPad to place your order. Older people must be having trouble ordering on iPads because they are not used to them.
Unlimited cocktails and salads are offered at Modern Shabu House.
Tea and juice were not available, however, soft drinks were available with no limit.
Salad bar
The vegetables all looked fresh.
#08 Premium sukiyaki broth
Pork is on the brown tray, and beef is on the black tray.
Although there are many sauces, soy sauce is the best.
Vegetables, noodles, and the meat were all soft and delicious. Shabu-shabu is healthy, in my opinion, because you can eat cooked veggies with it.
They prepared the following entrée for each broth after refilling the meat and vegetables.
"Stir-fried udon" with sukiyaki broth, and "Mushroom over rice" with mushroom broth.
Mushroom over rice
Stir-fried Udon
They grilled the meat first, then added the sauce, and finally stir-fried the udon with the meat.
Tasted well. The fried udon, however, seemed a little salty to me, perhaps as a result of the salty sukiyaki soup.
Strawberry Ice Cream for dessert. The signature course is complete once you've finished the strawberry ice cream.
