Muhag

Muhag

Muhag (Sindang, Seoul) is one of Sindang’s best-loved barbecue restaurants, drawing massive queues of diners daily. Despite not visiting often, it has become a favorite spot to take friends who visit, thanks to its delicious food and consistently excellent service.

Side dish

The side dishes were flavorful, though the onion kimchi is best avoided if you’re sensitive to spice.

The fermented anchovy sauce adds a unique depth to the meal. While I initially thought the portion of spicy sauce was too small, I learned it’s less popular with other diners. Thankfully, they’ll gladly bring more upon request.

The staff handles all the grilling, ensuring the meat is cooked to perfection. This attentive service allows diners to focus solely on enjoying the food.
For an added touch of fun, a recipe for cooking tasty meat is provided on the other side of the menu, giving diners insight into how to elevate their barbecue experience.

Dwae-ji Saeng-galbi (Pork ribs) 19,000 won (*2ea)

The pork ribs were expertly grilled by the staff, and the meat was incredibly tender, practically melting in my mouth. The first two servings weren’t enough, so we ordered an additional two servings.

Cheong-guk-jang (fermented soybean paste) 7,000 won

Muhag is renowned for its Cheong-gukjang, which is difficult to prepare at home due to its strong smell. The stew was rich and flavorful, living up to its reputation.

Mul Naengmyeon (cold noodles)  6,000 won

Cold noodles are the perfect companion to barbecue. Their refreshing taste paired wonderfully with the savory meat.

For two people, we enjoyed: 4 servings of Galbi (pork ribs), 1 Mul-naengmyeon (cold noodles), 1 Cheong-gukjang ( fermented soybean paste stew), a bowl of rice

Muhag offers a fantastic barbecue experience, with perfectly cooked meat, rich flavors, and attentive service. The Cheong-gukjang is a standout dish and a must-try for anyone visiting.
