Oldies Taco (euljiro)
We went to Oldies Taco, which is currently one of Euljiro's most popular eateries!
I often think twice about going because of the lengthy lineups, but the food is so good that I always end up going. On holidays and weekends, the food runs out more quickly than during the week.
Starting at 11 AM, you will be able to register for the wait. Because waiting for two hours was so painful the last time, we got there early this time.
Due to bad weather, it was somewhat quieter when we arrived at around 10:45 in the morning. Once we were registered for the wait, we headed to a nearby cafe and returned at 12 p.m., when it opens.
You can find the menu and prices posted outside! The last time I got here, the menus were fantastic, so I'm going to order from those again. You must place your order outside before entering.
For drinks, we went for Oldies Beer and Coke. Beer and tacos sound like a perfect match, so I'll be having them with a beer this time!
Surprisingly, when we returned at 12pm, there was no one waiting in the restaurant, probably due to the bad weather.
At Oldies Taco, they have no seating so you have to eat by standing throughout the meal.
You can always grab it to go if you're in a rush, but nothing beats eating in the store's cozy ambiance and enjoying freshly prepared food.
Plus, there is a small sink in the corner, so you can wash your hands anytime. Eating tacos with your hands is more convenient, and having a sink is a great touch.
The alcoholic beverages were served ice cold. We needed something cold because of the hot and humid weather outside.
Menu
Two of us placed an order for Mega Bomb Snack, Taco Rice, and Oldies Taco.
Taco Rice and Birria Taco are by far the most beloved menus. These tend to run out fast, so if you get the chance, place an order for them.
Oldies Beer 7,000 won
The staff told us that this beer tasted like Big Wave Golden Ale. It had a strong fruit flavor, which was excellent.
Mega Bomb Snack 9,900 won
With their toppings of sauce and cilantro, these nachos had a quite strong flavor. The combination of these ingredients was really excellent. It's definitely tastier than when you take it to-go.
Taco Rice 7,900 won
The taco rice that everyone loves. Delicious Okinawan style with Korean beef. This menu is sure to be a favorite with its combination of white sauce, red salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese.
You really have to try this, I highly recommend it.
Oldies Taco 5,900 won
Served with thinly sliced Korean beef. The combination of avocado sauce, red salsa, and white sauce makes this taco really mouthwatering.
More than Birria Taco, this was something I was dying to experience, and it didn't disappoint. You can't have it without cilantro since it adds a nice tasty kick.
At each table, you will find salt and hot sauce, which you can use according to your preference!
I love this place. We never return to the same restaurant, but Oldies Taco is one of those places that we'd gladly wait in line for again and again.
I don't think it will taste good without the cilantro, but you can ask to leave it out or serve it separately if you like. Even though I'm not a cilantro fan either, it tastes much better.
Additionally, there is a second location in the area that is less crowded; however, they told us that a few items are unavailable, so be sure to double-check this information before you visit. The main branch was where I went.
