Daiso (Myeongdong Station)
Just recently, I learned via the internet that there is a 12-floor Daiso in Myeong-dong. Since I needed to be in downtown Euljiro for work, I decided to make a quick trip to Daiso today.
* Be aware that this is not the same store as the Daiso Myeong-dong main store.
Most shoppers take the elevator up to the 12th floor and then browse the stores on the way down. I attempted to shop on my ascent but quickly realized I was the only one traveling in reverse and decided to take the elevator up to the 12th floor instead. However, as I descended the stairs, I saw that many shoppers were making their way up.
12F Exercise, Camping, Travel
Dumbbells, kid-sized exercise balls, yoga mats, and fitness-related items can be found here. They even stock leggings for athletes!
Camping gear like lights and ice chests can be found here as well. Even though I rarely go camping, I often find myself wishing for various camping-related items.
11F Hardware, Vehicles, Handicrafts
Tools and auto parts aren't my things, so I passed by quickly. Men who take their car cleaning seriously will find this to be a great spot.
10F Gardening, Fake Flowers, Pets
Everything that I love, from flowers to pets, is right here. It's the first time I've ever seen real flowers in a Daiso store.
Fake flowers are also available in a wide variety of vivid colors.
A special area for pets with snacks, apparel, and playthings. It makes me pleased that these days, every supermarket has a dedicated pet section.
9F Interior, Storage
There's a scented candle and diffuser section.
The storage box is a must-buy at Daiso. Daiso sells a wide variety of containers for stowing things away.
These adorable little socks-like things are covers for the legs of chairs.
8F Bathroom, Cleaning, Laundry
There used to be a lot of different kinds of detergent at home since I got greedy for cleaning supplies one day, but I recently got rid of them all. I only use a select number of them regularly.
Today I needed to get a washing machine cleaner, but I ended up forgetting to get the one thing I needed.
7F Tableware, Cooking utensils
You'll find a wide selection of wooden goods and kitchen gadgets on the seventh floor.
6F Ceramics, Glass tableware
Always, once I see dishes, I feel want to go and buy them. Because there are always trendy new bowl styles to try out.
Also available are adorable cups decorated with flags of the world.
5F Food, Disposables
Two levels were the busiest on the day I was there, and one of them was on the fifth.
Jellies and candies are also available, in addition to the standard sweets. There is ramen, instant curry, seaweed, and instant rice, but they aren't shown in the picture.
4F Character, Children's, Party
On every level, you'll find a shopping basket. There didn't seem to be anything really interesting, but I did end up taking a basket.
On this floor, kids (and adults) can meet their favorite characters from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel.
If I couldn't see these friends, it would make me sad. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Winnie the Pooh can be found as well.
Balloons and garlands, among other party decorations, are also available.
3F Stationery, Digital, Packaging
One of the busiest areas is on the third floor.
You may find some of the most popular items among females, including stationery, masking tape, and stickers. Sure, I adore them as well.
2F Beauty, Fashion, Accessories
My nails are pretty damaged, so it's been a long since I had them done. However, this has inspired me to schedule another appointment.
Since spring is on the way, I'm also planning on making it seem lovely.
1F Seasonal products, Checkout counter
Dolls and gardening supplies can be found on the ground floor.
It is stated that the Daiso at Myeongdong Station is the second largest Daiso in all of Korea. Banpo's Central City Terminal is the largest.
The category-based floor layout is helpful, but the constant ascending and descending can get old fast. Even yet, being as there are a lot of goods, it would be excellent to go at least once.
