Amomento
I finally had the chance to visit the Amomento (Seochon, Seoul) flagship store, a brand I’ve been curious about for a long time. While it's a bit of a walk from Gyeongbokgung Station, the journey was worth it. The entrance is discreet and easy to miss, so keep an eye out for the wall with subtle signage.
The hand-washing area near the door immediately caught my eye with its sophisticated design, complete with an Aesop soap dispenser. Who knew such a simple area could be so beautiful?
The space had a modern, minimalistic vibe, with a seamless blend of natural light and curated decor.
My favorite was a chic, all-black cotton anorak skirt, though it was also available in lovely shades of white and other neutrals. Amomento's designs seem particularly suited for tall, slender frames, with elegant and clean silhouettes dominating the collection.
The traditional Hanok view from the fitting room window added a distinctly "Seochon" touch, perfectly tying the store's atmosphere to its location.
Menswear
There’s a dedicated men’s section, and I loved how many of the pieces had a unisex feel, making it a great shopping spot for couples. The designs are both comfortable and refined, blending style with versatility.
The blend of Amomento’s minimalist aesthetic with the traditional architecture and scenery of Seochon felt incredibly unique. The view of the Hanok from inside the store added a sense of place and history, making the visit feel special.
The Amomento flagship store offers a beautiful range of garments with timeless designs. I look forward to returning to spend more time exploring their collection and trying on some of my favorite pieces.
